I'd like to find some pictures of Fred and his whole brood... especially after 1900.  We have threads on his daughters and Aunt Swan, and I'd love to see a picture of the 'rents and all eight of the kids.

Hello!

I'm going to post a couple of photos of Frederik VIII's children. But they were taken before 1900.

Thanks Daniela!  That picture of Gustav is wonderful.  I like his chubby cheeeks.

Well this one was taken in the 1890s and it does not contain the whole brood but it has a lot of them.
Including:
Carl; (behind his, at this point in time, cousin Maud), little Dagmar; (beside Queen Louise), Fred; (by Alix), Gustav seated in front of his mother Louise, and Ingeborg, Thyra (kneeling) and Louise Jr. at the end.

I found another picture, pre-1900, but nice nonetheless with everyone but Dagmar.

Little Thyra looks so pretty!  Despite her never getting married, I think she was the most beautiful of FVIII's daughters.

That's an 'I'm only doing this for the photo' touch if ever I saw one!  Grin Even Marie herself looks stunned!  Shocked

?, I think that some of the boys up front could be Sandro & Xenia’s sons and perhaps that’s Irina?, ?, Marie Louise of Baden (nee Hannover) with her daughter Marie-Alexandra and son Berthold, Ingeborg of Denmark/Sweden and Dagmar.

2nd Row: GD Alexander M, ?, Princess Thyra, GDss Xenia, Princess Marie (nee Orleans)

3rd row: Prince Gustav, Thyra, Duchess of Cumberland with her daughter Olga (?), Princess Marie (nee Bonaparte)

Back: Prince George Wilhelm of Hannover, Queen Alexandra, King George I of Greece, Empress Marie, Frederick VIII of Denmark, Prince Waldemar, Queen Louise (Aunt Swan), Prince George of Greece

Xenia's sons all blend into one for me...

I'm pretty sure the little girls sitting down are (from l-r) Irina, Margrethe (Waldrmar's daughter), Little Marie Alexandra of Baden  next to her mother Marie-Louise Pss Max of Baden (Thyra's daughter) who is holding her son Berthold--then Ingeborg and Thyra of Denmark.

Next row up is Sandro, Dagmar of Denmark, Olga of Hanover, Xenia, and Marie Pss Waldemar.

Grandduchessella--Thyra is standing next to her youngest daughter Alexandra (later of Mecklenburg Schwerin), besides those few corrections, your identifications were spot on.  Smiley

I made the Alexandra/Marie Louise correction. I was thinking of Baden (and named the children) I don't know why I put Mecklenberg-Schwerin.  My poor brain must still be sleepy.  Smiley
