Title: More Romanov Dreams?
Post by: gioia on August 15, 2009, 02:11:14 PM
I've been reading the other Romanov dream boards, and I think it would be nice to get a new one going! :) What have your Romanov dreams been like?

I've had two--the first one started out in a little gift shop by the ocean, with knickknacks and jewellery inside, shirts, etc. My sister and I were looking at necklaces, and we saw OTMAA and Nicholas come in, and they started looking at jewellery in another part of the shop. They were all wearing wide-brimmed white hats and they, but nothing else in the store, were black-and-white.

My other dream-- I was behind the executioners in the Ipatiev house, and the doors were closed. There were two groups of a lot of soldiers in front of each door, and Yurovsky was off to the side (light brown or blonde hair). One of the men would propel an orange flower or a piece of bread/cake/paper out of his gun to show that their group was ready for the door to be opened. Then the other group did that. The doors opened and they started shooting, though it was just the family and no servants in the room. They all looked like their pictures, N and A died. OTMA ran out of the room screaming, they got by the soldiers really easily. It was like I was behind them and they ran down this hall, which was dark with a kind of brownish thing about it. There were some small closets in the walls. They crouched in this tiny, narrow hallway, then ran into a large room where it was on fire, and this large, extremely ugly person had Alexei, and was trying to pull off his arms and legs or something. The girls tried to get Alexei away from the person, but he was already dead. They started screaming again, ran over to these school desks and flipped the flat surface parts off by banging on them a few times, then ran off to the side, and strangely, the sound and picture just faded out. There was this white "Russian" word on the black surface all of a sudden with an "s" at the beginning and a "zh" sound, and I think an "ih". The dream ended.

Wow your dreams sound good.  I have had one but it was a long time ago.

What was your dream? I am intrigued! :D

My Romanov dreams are weird.  I keep wondering what Alix, Minnie, and a bunch of Bolsheviks were doing in a chase scene on a bunch of barges on the Ohio River near Cinncinati, and then ended up in my house in ATL... :O

Wow, that's really strange. Kind of funny though :D

I know, right?  There was another one I had where for some reason I switched bodies with Alix in the middle of the school day.  It was really freaky.

Glad you started this, gioia, as I've had two recent dreams.  The second one has some similarities to yours although I'd swear I didn't see this thread till after I went looking for one following the second dream.  The first dream involved only Nicholas and the second had everyone in the IF except Nicholas, oddly enough.

In the first dream, I traveled back to a time probably shortly before Nicholas abdicated--after he knew there was trouble but before it got terribly bad.  I was trying to convince him he and his family needed to leave Russia or they wouldn't live to see the end of 1918.  Finally I managed to go to this big, modern library in Russia and obtain a book to take back to show him and King George V of England which convinced them I really was from the future.  I was telling King George if he didn't want the Romanovs in England he should find a place for them in some other British territory if he didn't want them all killed!  Then I was to travel back to meet with Nicholas.

As I was approaching Nicholas, thinking ha ha on you, Anna Anderson, if the Imperial Family is saved you will have to pretend to be someone else, I felt this great weight of people from the future Russia pulling on me, as if saying, do not do this!  That if the Tzars were saved, Russians wouldn't have future opportunities such as this great library but would be stuck in backward times.  So when Nicholas was looking at me with this sincere gaze asking, "What must I do?" I was all like, "Aaaah, never mind," and kind of fled for the future.

He was in color in that dream but in the second dream all the people were in black-and-white.  Alexei was playing happily on some rocks near the seaside, but at some point he became angry and started jumping up and down.  Alix, Olga, and Tatiana went to implore him to be careful as if he jumped too hard he might hurt himself.

When I was in sight of them, it seemed I was in some area, like behind a palace, reserved for the Imperial Family.  Then I went into what seemed to be a central area, sort of the Imperial Family gift shop.  The back would lead out to the private area I'd left and the front would lead to an area admitting the general public.  I was looking for souvenir items with the Romanovs pictured on them, but the only color pictures seemed to be military scenes in paintings on calendars.  Few items bore photographs, and what there were were small and black-and-white.  Maria was in the shop and seemed in charge of the place.  I started to ask a question and addressed her as "Maria," and wondered if I should have prefaced it "Grand Duchess" or "Your Highness" but if she wasn't cool with it she gave no indication.  I looked around some more and found the shop to be pretty much like a general store of the era, with the labels on the cans in color and looking better than the souvenirs.  I began to wonder if it really was a Romanov souvenir shop after all.

Then attention was attracted by an outcry from the back.  It seems Anastasia had started to go out a back door, expecting there to be a flight of steps, but it had been removed for repair.  (My dad had a story of a similar incident taking place at a church where he was pastor.)  As the door swung out, to keep from falling she managed to grab the hole where the doorknob should have been with one hand and an outer edge of the door with the other and was swinging there (out over the area leading to the beach and the rocks where I had seen the others) screaming for someone to get her down.  I think someone did but that's about where it ended.

I had one last night. I was waiting in the bsement of the Ipatiev house with NAOTMAA and my brother and sister, but the room was really well-lit and a lot bigger than the actual room was. Alexei wasn't sick or injured, and he, my siblings, and OTMA and I were running around the room playing tag! Alix and Nicholas were just sitting in their chairs at the other end of the room and watching.

that's quite nice dream I suppose... :)

I keep having dreams(almost every night, for almost three weeks) with either Nicholas or Alexandra-I always tell them how wrong they were, how many things they should have done in different way. they always agree with me, but says that it has to be done this way. they later ask me to keep trying & pray. If in this dream is Alix instead of Nicholas I always dream that after that conversation she prays near my bed...

I like interpreting dreams.

If you keep having the same dream every night you should look more closely at it. How do you feel during the dream? The main emotion you have during the dream is most likely an emotion you've had during your waking life about something. Maybe you don't realize what exactly it is.

I have a best friend who two nights in a row had a continuing dream that was a cross between Harry Potter and the Romanovs.  I was like Harry Potter, Michael Jackson was Voldemort, and she seemed to know that I had a strange formation of small zits that formed a lighting bolt shape, even though it just appeared a day or two before, during my break.  However, it was mainly about the Romanovs and how they were warning her that I was in danger.  She mysteriously knew the names of every grand duchess, even though she's never read any books on the Romanovs and I've never told her.  She accurately described what every member of NAOTMAA looked like, with the exception of Nicholas' hair color.  I found that spooky but hilarious at the same time.  How would you react if a friend who you know to be hyper all the time calls you up and goes on about this really weird dream about something you like, but they don't?

P.S. I can believe she had a dream with me in it.  She almost worships me because she thinks I'm a genius and so cool, etc.  I tell her that she's still smarter than me no matter how much she claims I am.  She's the same friend who cried last year because she got a 99 on a test...

I sooooo understand that...

indeed it's strange dream-for all Romanov fans it not surprising that they dream about them, but when it happens to someone who barely heard of them it's strange...

Holly-I hardly can remember any emotion I feel in these dreams. but whenever I wake up I feel little hopeful(apart from the permanent though 'oh no, I'm still alive') so perhaps that's the emotion I felt at least at the end of the dreams.

Abbigail-I never dream about OTMA-it's always either Nicholas or Aix.

Wel...a few days ago i had a dream that i was a Prussian princess daughter of Friedrich Karl and some Mecklenburg schwerin duchess sister of Miechen and i had to travel with "cousin" Boris Vladimirovich to get to my "dear papa". It was fun, Boris was a great companion, fun , enchanting and must to say....great kisser xDDDDD!

it was great cause it was mixed with modern stuff. We were somewherew in a great contryside house, then our travel was in a old carriage and all around us was modern. In fact, the hotel room had a pretty plasma TV, cable and outside a great and modern "infinite pool" xDDD

What liked me most was that the Boris in my dream was exactly as i always imagined him: fun, charming, gentleman and smelt so good! xDDD

I've dreamed that I was walking through the winter palace with my family and we got to see a coronation...I don't know who was being coronated though.

I know this isn't a Romanov dream, but it's a royalty dream.  I dreamed I was exploring this castle in the mountains in Austria with a bunch of other people.  I guess that's how I imagined what Mayerling looked like, but so there's this room at the top and it has a bunch of filthy mattresses, blankets, etc on the floor.  It was dark with no windows.  The guide said this was the room where Emperor Franz Joseph died, and that we would be sleeping in there that night. I waited a while, and this invisible ghost thing started attacking the other people.  That's when I noticed this trap door on the back wall.  I opened it and for some reason or another, I shouted "OMG, Sissi killed Franz Joseph!"  Then I woke up....

This was a few months ago, back when I had just started getting interested in the Hapsburgs.  Later that day, I thought, "Hmmm....  Wasn't Franz Joseph still emperor in WWI?"  I guess my brain mixed up Franz Joseph and Crown Prince Rudolph.  But until this day, I still don't know why in my dream I said Sissi killed him.

That's weird, it sounds scary.
They say you come up with lots of strange scenarios in your sleep because your subconscious works them out.

Most of my dreams don't make sense.  In almost every single one of them, I see myself like I'm watching a movie, and I can only remember a skeleton of it.  I don't think I'll ever remember what exactly got the "Sissi killed Franz Joseph" reaction, all I know is that I had said it for a god reason...

I know what you mean about a "skeleton", usually I just remember a few "stills" from my dreams and remember the rest later. It's very strange!
Whenever I have a dream about the Romanovs I get so excited! lol :D

After three years of obsessing over the Romanovs, I've only had three dreams about them.  My first one was where I was at school, and I switched bodies with Alix.  The only other one that I've had besides the one I already posted is where I visited this field hospital in Iraq or something, and Alix and Olga were there in their World War One nurses' uniforms.  That's the type of thing that happens when you watch too much of The X-Files, listen too much to the news, and read too much about the Romanovs, I guess.

I remember having a dream once that I was on a bus trip and we were going to visit one of the palaces (apparently I was in Russia) and when we arrived they said the Tsar was busy that day and could only see us briefly.  I felt so amazed and excited "They're still alive!!" was my only thought.  We walked in the palace and there was Nicky standing beside a long table in a large room full of men in uniforms.  I was so thrilled to see him I started gushing, and he turned and looked at me very sternly and held up one hand as if to say, "You are NOT to speak to me unless I address you, which I have no intention of doing", and then he shook his head and turned away from me. I was crushed. I'll never forget that dream!

For me too! I have 2 years learning about them, and only 3 or 4 dreans.
I'll tell one of my dreans, it's a little strange, but... almost all dreans are like this.  ???

Ok, is it: from nothing I was in a little distance of a people group, they are standing and I only could see their silhouettes. So, for my surprise and thrill, I could see in the middle of them nobody more than my dear girl, Anastasia! Her appearance was like in the 1916 formals and she was wearing a white dress. She was laughing, and talking with the people of the group. She seems to be having fun with them. So I get "crazy" and started to call her and try to get close, but I can't. It was as I have something impeding me, like I have a rope catching me by my waist. And more, I see that she no hearing or seeing me. My arms were stretched in her direction, and I look to see what was obstructing my way, but I see nothing, was something invisible. I was already getting desperate when I wake up.
What a dream!  :o

Thank you for read. ;)

2 nights ago I had a dream of being on a small, green island with Olga, Tatiana, Anastasia and Aleksei. Tatiana and I were giving Anastasia and Lex piggyback rides off of a big rock...I was carrying Aleksei! I remember he smelled like soap and I think cookies or cake or something. It was odd.

I had another Hapsburg dream last night (strange how I've had as many Hapsburg dreams as I have had Romanov dreams in only a third of the time.)

So I was in my math class taking notes.  For some reason it was on one of those indoor balcony things with the glass rails, and my math teacher was acting unusually mean.  I don't know how, but the next thing I know, Sissi rides in and I guess tells me to hop onto the horse with her in German or some other language.  So I get on and we're riding through the woods, and I felt really awkward (because I was squeezing her waist for dear life) and scared (because she was riding so fast and I had to sit side-saddle.)   I was screaming for her to slow down, but I guess either she couldn't understand my American accent, or she couldn't hear me.  She must have been really annoyed, because I just kept screaming, and she probably couldn't breathe because I was holding her so tight.  Then, we were on a balcony at the Schoenbrunn Palace (yes, I know I probably spelled it wrong).   Franz Josef was on my right, and Sissi was on my left.  It was cloudy, and there was some kind of fighting close by.  There was some invisible narrator who had a weird, low voice, like the guy who did the spoken part in Michael Jackson's "Thriller," and he said that there was a war on, and they had burned Vienna.  Out of nowhere, a bullet hits Sissi in the right side of her gut, right below the ribcage.  I told myself to stay calm because I knew she wasn't supposed to die that way.  Then she died.  The narrator was going on about how this was the way Sissi of Russia had died.  After that. my mom showed up, and as we were walking away, I started to complain about the mistakes the narrator made, as I normally would.  She had this look on her face that said "I'm sick of you talking about Sissi," which is actually a lot like my mom, who hates history and would rather go through a book of math problems any day.

This was the clearest dream I've ever had in my life, as I can remember most of what was said, word for word.  The strangest thing, however, was that I never saw Sissi's face, because the whole time, she either had a fan in front of it, or she didn't face me.  I just knew it was her because of her hair and how skinny she was.

I liked your dream Abbigail!
You carryed Alexei and Anastasia, you had better luck than me! :) hehe

Ekatherina, yours is quite confuse, I would have been afraid in that horse ride too!

I remember another dream, very short. In it I see Alexandra and a other woman (I do not know her). They are talking, and by one more time, I was only the spectador. I was sitting just a few meters of them. There was a table in front of me and otra near them, Alexandra was also sitting and another woman was standing. That was in outside because I remember seeing a small garden and trees next to us.
Only this ,was very short, but I liked that dream.

Ekaterina, that is a VERY complex dream! Wow. I love when I can remember my dream conversations word for word.
Lol...my parents are the same. I can tell they're getting annoyed if I mention "Nicholas" "Alexandra" "Tatiana" or "Aleksei" more than once. :D So I've just stopped bringing it up.

Aww, Denushka, that's a very nice dream!

Everyone gets annoyed because I talk about them so much.  Except my English teacher.  I'll never understand how she can stand it.  She just told me that students and teachers should learn from each other, and that's why she listens.

I guess we are now faced with the mystery of the identity of the unknown lady, huh, Denushka? XD

Dreams often give us more than we bargined for.  Something like smell, (and all the possiablies sound nice! ) is not something we would usualy think of and it makes the experiance feel more real. Great dream!

I really just see things, like I'm watching a movie.  I don't think I'll ever smell a single thing from a dream, but then again, I can barely smell anything in real life unless it's an inch away from my nose.

And I had a dream last night that somewhat relates to the Hapsburgs (again!)  I was angry at my mom because she banned me from my email, Facebook, and seeing my friends, etc.  I rebelled and snuck out to a shopping mall with some girl who was supposed to be my best friend.  I was going to get my hair done, but then changed my mind and went to the jewelry shop next door.  That's where I found something simlilar to this:

(http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/2820/einemedailleaufdentodde.jpg) (http://img27.imageshack.us/i/einemedailleaufdentodde.jpg/)

It was bronze, though, and it was on a chain like a necklace.  The next day I came back, and I decided to try it on, but couldn't get it off.  I was worried because I didn't know if I had enough money to get a perm at the salon, but I dig through my wallet, and there's about five $10 bills and a few ones.  I started to calm down because for some reason, perms were only $3.50, and the medallion was $7.00.  But I was so excited that I found something in America with Sissi on it!  And then my mom woke me up to watch Star Trek The Next Generation on t.v.   I was freaked out about my computer rights, because it took me a while to remember it was a dream...

I know, it was awesome! Aleksei smelled like little kids always do...you know, like soap and clean clothes and earth and stuff. For some reason that made me a little sad, but it was a fun dream. The weird thing was, it was all totally silent!

That dream sounds so AWESOME, Ekaterina! Is that exactly how the coin looked? Except bronze? Maybe you should look for one for real! :D

This is slightly off-subject but really cool...I visited my aunt's new house this weekend and it's really big, and it looks SO MUCH like NAOTMAA's house in Tobolsk!! It was so crazy! I told my sister that excitedly as soon as we walked in; I'm not sure what she thought.

The medal was more round than elliptical, she was holding a cross, not flowers, and there was no lettering.  But other than that, it's the same.  Time for a shopping spree, huh?

I can guess what you're sister was thinking, Abbigail.  "Seriously?  I can I go one minute without something Romanovish?"  That's something I like what I plan to hear from everyone.

Hehe. Exactly :)
,
I've been having a daydream for the past couple weeks that OTMA went to my school...I imagine myself to be great friends with Tatiana, with Maria and Olga getting to know my sister, and Anastasia goofing around with my younger brother. Their ages would be 17, 15, 13, and 11. Perfect :)

I did that a ton last year.  I would pretend that they were wearing invisibility cloaks, and would sit in the back of each class.  I would imagine myself whispering to them, telling them about an average school day.  It was crazy, but it got me through a boring school day.  But then I started writing a fiction story about them, and it was never me and OTMA again, just me visualizing my main charecter playing with them.  I always imagined me being Anastasia's age, however.  I would daydream I had a time-traveler and go to the year where she was the same age.

Good advice from me, a dreamer.: when you got a good dream, wake up and write it up wherever you want, copybook, wordpad, diary,  , etc ect..

I ve done great stories about dreams, for example, the spanish Tsarina. Now i gotta modify it cause its not into Nicholas but Gd Georgiy Alexandrovich (thanks those dreams i created this myspace where i roleplay...its fun!)

And this REALLY works!!

Right before you go to bed, repeat to yourself out loud a few times, "I will remember my dream." I read it on a health website once and it actually works!! You have to convince your mind of it.

Sorry I haven't been on as often as usual.  I've going to sleep earlier for some reason.  But anyways, my story is called "The Tsarina's Servant."  I have over 130 pages on MS Word (double-spaced) and hope to publish it around when I get into high school.  Maybe I'll post certain sections of it on here, if you guys wish.

No, it doesn't.  But mainly, it revolves around the main charecter Ekaterina, so it may as well be.  I'm sure if I posted the end on here, I'd be kicked off or it would be deleted or something, if you know what I mean.  And just to say this, she argues with Anna Anderson and deems her a fraud.

Well, Ms. Barber's not really a great teacher, but she's great as a friend.  I consider her as one of my bffls, and she's, let's say, 30-ish years older than me?

Can't wait to hear about the mystery lady, Denushka.  I'm sorry if I sound pressuring, but I'm really excited.

Oh, sorry girls!! :/
I was unable to come to the forum for a while, had not seen your posts...
I do not remember the ladyís face... But I do not know her.

The scene I saw was more or less like this picture:

I think I dreamed it just because this picture! heheh ^^
But... I tryed to remember more of what I see, and can say that the lady was with a more clear hat, maybe white, and look more young that the one in the photo.
First thought to be Anna Vyrubova or Lili Dehn, but it did not seem to match with any of them.

Sounds like a mysterious lady! I guess we'll never know.

I had another dream recently. I was standing in a doorway looking out onto a balcony, watching Nicholas II from behind. He was smoking and it was very bright and sunny outside--I could see pine trees.

I wonder what it means to dream about someone smoking??  :o

l lol! I think on whatever plane of consciousness one runs into Nicholas, he'd be smoking! I sometimes dream of the courtyard around the greenhouse   in Tobolsk and it's always brilliantly  sunny when I do. Odd to dream about a spot rather than events. You're speaking about the sunshine reminded me! Thanks!

Lord, yes.He was famous for that in an era that didn't see smoking as bad for you. So it's interesting your dream had this detail. In later years, the girls picked up the habit as well.

And Alexandrea's skull by its cutting edge dentistry of the day. In fact a dentist visited them while they were  in Tobolsk. So it can't be said he had no access to dental care after the Revolution.

I spend my nights writing about them.  How else would I get so much done?  My whole week is filled with hardly more than school, and I feel no sense of accomplishment in my day unless I write in one of my stories, whether it's about the Romanovs, Hapsburgs, something based off of Star Trek, or my superspy sisters I made up.  That means staying up as late as I know my body can handle.  That's why sometimes you'll see posts around midnight from me (it's called writer's block.)
Title: Re: More Romanov Dreams?

Seriously, at midnight, you can expect me to be on my laptop writing away.  I've been forced to go to sleep earlier because of these constant headaches I've been getting, though.  I can't get rid of them no matter how much I sleep, but I can tell you that it me helps the next day if I don't stay up too late.  Otherwise, teachers will be screaming at me and my bffs will wonder why I'm so out of it.  As a matter of fact, it's only 9:45 over here, and I'm planning on going to sleep soon.

Well, it's not new, but I had one a while ago where NAOTMAA were trying to escape captivity at the AP or something, and for some reason this could be achieved just by throwing a veil over Alexandra? Like, I guess she was the one everyone was mad at or something. But yeah, so they were just walking around in broad daylight and pushing her around in a wheelchair and she had this black veil over her head. And I was seeing it through like a film camera or something, but it was in color and it had sound, so I remember watching it going "Finally, I know exactly what they look and sound like!!" And I remember Alexandra saying something about "My wonderful children have devised a way to get me out of here," and then I remember Anastasia talking and me thinking "That's just what I imagined her voice to be like" (which, DUH, it was my dream), and then either Olga or Tatiana talked, but I can't remember what they sounded like or what any of them said. It was weird.

I had a odd dream last night about them. well, manly about Olga and N&A.

I had a dream about Olga (looking about 10-ish) having a bipolar. she was screaming and yelling (don't remember what) and throwing things. then she fell on the floor and started kicking and flailing her arms (sort of like a 3 year old throwing a fit) Nicholas and Alix were trying to calm her down but it was only making it worse, Nicholas a one point tried to pick her up but she started pushing him aways. idk....it was just weird....I think i had it because I got to see someone have a bipolar fit first hand a few days ago. My boyfriends mother is bipolar and went crazy the other night ans was screaming and had to be hold down by her brother to get her to calm down, I read somewhere that Olga may have been bipolar.

IDK, when I was little, like before preschool, I used to hear a woman's voice in a language I couldn't understand, but it was comforting.  It was low and a bit husky, but definately a woman's.  It was serious and yet filled with (why is it taking so long for me to find the word?) ambitiousness, kind of like a "I'm-slaming-my-fist-down-because-I-want-things-this-way" tone.  It's odd how I still remember what it sounds like, but for some reason,  when I started my interest with the Romanovs, I kind of paired that voice with Alexandra's.   Creepy, huh?

That's a strange dream. Kind of scary and unpleasant! I've read that Olga became depressed late in her life, but not bipolar. Where did you read that? It's interesting.

I never bought the idea Olga was bipolar. She had difficulty with depression  during the war. But given the horror of the  war and the fact  her family is  in charge of ever  gathering speed train wreak that culminated with the revolution, I say  depression  was a  normal l reaction for such  an intelligent  and emotional young woman to be in....even if it was over  just one of of those events. I never read of Olga being unable to fulfill her amazing work load of being both a  nurse and royal. She couldn't stand the operation room, but not everyone can. That didn't stop Olga from working hard elsewhere at the hospital...plus her  full load of offiscal duties. If being depressed over a war and your country going smash means one is bipolar, then 90% of us would be so! lol! .... just my two cents as it were and hardly on topic! Sorry about that ! I'm not  commenting  on your dream of course , but the general, Olga was  bipolar  notion
Title: Re: More Romanov Dreams?
Post by: abbigail on February 04, 2010, 04:19:26 PM
I read that she didn't have as strong a stomach as Tatiana, who asked to help during operations. In that area, Olga sounds like me :)
There is a type of depression relating to intelligence and deep thought, which we all know Olga to have done. I'm sure the stress of the war contributed to her depression immensely, especially since she was so sensitive, as you said.
Still off-topic...but do you know if any of the other Grand Duchesses became depressed late in their lives? I can't recall.

Two Romanov dreams, two nights in a row!

The night before last, I dreamed I was (somehow) watching a Romanov documentary on our electronic keyboard with my dad. Then the whole top of the keyboard changed to a big photo of the GDs. They were standing in front of mountains or something, with Maria and Olga hugging each other on the left side of the "photo" and Tatiana and Anastasia hugging on the right. I remember being excited about finding a new photo and thinking about how I should post it! XD

Last night I dreamed about going to Russia with my sister and my Spanish teacher (we were speaking Spanish there for some reason). Then my family and I were driving to this big church. We parked behind an old stone building and painted on the wall was the 1906 photo of OTMA! Then me and my sister looked into someone's car window and they had a screen in the dash with a slideshow screensaver-type thing of Romanov family members. There was also photo of a baby painted onto the wall and I said to my sister, "That's Sophie."
But who's Sophie? I don't know why I said that.

I have one  dream
It was about 1905/06 and my best friend Katie and I where walking down a very unfamiliar hallway. We heard a person saying "all right children you can go now", when those children ran out we both realised it was OTMAA .
Alexei ran straight into my legs and started laughing , then Olga said "lets have some carrots" they went.
Then it went to 1918. Katie was gone now but I was there with the IF and the the guards came in with Yurovsky and then I woke up.
Probably a reflex that I have anytime something bad is about to happen in  a dream.

Interesting Olga-Romanov123 ...you jumbled time a bit as one does in dreams.  Really there is no time as we know it  in dreams....
1918 can be right after 1906.

You know those photos of OTMA resting  on the piles of hay? I dreamt someone was showing me sketches they made  of  the girls while they were resting there ...pretty good ones too! What's interesting in dreams is,  stuff you would not think of  usually . seems perfectly natural

I had this odd dream a few nights ago that was sort of a what if dream, if you know what I mean.

It was raining, and OTMAA were escaping from Ipatiev house, except they were in the side yard of my house. A soldier was helping one of them--Olga?--over a log. Then it changed to Alexei and Alexandra riding in the back of a white car with Pierre Gilliard driving along this country road. It was snowy, but the trees were green. The road was only wide enough for one car at a time and there was only this white car anyway.

I knew that Alexei, Alix and Pierre were going to Peterhof, and there was this noise of a hammer pounding, like on a construction site. There were several mansions on this side road, and suddenly the car stopped, because there was this path with ivy on it in front of them. On Alexei's right side there was a white metal fence, very tall, and the gate was open. there was an immense amount of snow, and Alexei got out of the car.

Several people had been shoveling a path in the snow, and one man came up to Alexei and told him to be careful. He went down the hill, and there was a large building that was Peterhof, but it looked more the Livadia than Peterhof. (This is kind of getting long, sorry. It was a rather long dream.) Anyways, there was a sort of courtyard that was very small by the door. Alexei went in, and Alix was already inside talking to Lili Dehn, or was it Sophie Buxhoevden? There were a lot of people, eating at lots of big tables, and it was very plain, not very grand. Alexei was getting bored and he looked around for OTMA and saw then nearby. He ran over to them and gave Anastasia a big hug. I think she was eating turnips.  ;D  After talking with them for a while, Alexei wondered where the dessert was. Someone said it was to be underground, and he went out to the courtyard-ish area because it was supposed to be under there. Then the dream ended. It was very odd, but dreams can be that way...

I had this one about 3 or 4 years ago.  This is the only part I remember.

I'm apparently camping out in the woods somewhere (no idea where), and I have this big camp fire going.  These four girls come out of the woods and ask me if they can sit at the fire and warm up.  I said yes, or something like that, and invited them to stay.  I gave them a thermos of coffee (or hot chocolate, I can't remember which) to help keep them warm.

It was not until I had woken up that I realized that the four girls were OTMA.  I wonder if this dream meant anything?

That kind of reminds me of my most recent dream...my family waa trying to escape from "Siberia" through the woods (my parents, siblings, and grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousin) because apparently we'd die if we didn't get away. Eventually we merged with another traveling family (the IF) and stayed in all these abandoned barns and houses. We came to this point in the woods with a large stone memorial (it was supposed to be where the IF was killed, though they were traveling with us) covered with ivy etc...the kids in the group all sat on the memorial (OTMA and Alexei included and I was next to Olga :D) and I laughed at something and my mom scolded me, telling me to be serious.

Not exactly the same as yours, TimM, but again with woods! Apparently if you dream of woods (I got this from a dream site)

"To dream that you are walking through the woods, signifies your return to an aspect of yourself that is innocent and spiritual. If you are walking out of the woods, then the dream could be a literal depiction of being "out of the woods" or being in the clear.

To dream that you are lost in the woods, indicates that you are starting a new phase in your life. You are expressing some anxiety about leaving behind the familiar and what you know."

Interesting, but I don't know how accurate it is! What do you think?

Well, it certainly could decribe me, I'm moving in a few weeks to a new home.  Of course, the dream I had happened a few years ago.  I wonder if OTMA was trying to tell me something.

I had another amusing one last night...

I was sleeping and my sister was wide awake, working on a paper for school. My sister screamed, waking me up, so I bolt upright and standing in front of me (and looking at my puppy who was on my bed) was Alix and Tatiana. Nicholas had grabbed hold of my laptop and was sitting on the floor next to my bed. Once in a while he would look up and give me a weird look.  He had managed to find his way on to the internet and had commenced to stabbing different buttons with one finger. Anastasia and Maria were standing in front of my closet. Olga was wearing my cowboy hat and Maria was wearing one of my baseball caps backwards and my sunglasses and they were making funny faces at my sister, who was at that point looking at me like "who the heck are these people?!", but I was too busy laughing at the sight in front of me. I then walked out of my room to find Alexei in my kitchen, eating doughnuts with powered sugar all over his face.  Anastasia was also in the kitchen, playing with the blender and covered in what appeared to be cocoa powder.

That was the end...

I had one a few nights ago, it was sunny but everyone was inside praying and I heard all of their voices and in my dream I was thinking have to remember their voices, I only saw OTMA and they were all wearing white dresses. I saw the color of their eyes and hair, it was a lovely dream and my second dream of them.

I had a dream about the Romanovs before I even knew about them! I was about 5, and it went something like this:
I was in a nursery of a grand palace (the Alexander Palace) and I was a very little child (it must have been about circa 1903). There was three other girls in the room besides me, and the only one I can remember being there besides myself was Anastasia. She was getting really annoyed with her nanny, and the poor woman was having to suffer the 'wrath of Anastasia', as she was shouting and kicking and stamping her feet, clearing wanting something that she was not allowed. Then one of the other girls came and tapped me on the shoulder, so I went over and sat with her. She smiled at me, and handed me a skipping rope. Then the years seemed to blur by, and I was sitting with the other three girls and Alix in a small boat - the Standart had crashed into some rocks, and so we were just slowly bobbing up and down, but Alix was fretting because 'darling Alexei Nikolaevich' could not be found. But then a small boy with curly hair was handed into the boat, and the year-blur started again. It stopped in..1912? I'm not sure, but the three girls, Nicky and I were mushroom-hunting in the woods in Finland. Suddenly one of the girls dropped to her knees and started cooing over this big mushroom, squealing something along the lines of "what a beauty! Isn't i just HUGE?!". One of the girls started snapping at her to get up and pick the mushroom, but the mushroom-girl took no notice of her. I just stood there snorting and thinking what melons they both were. Nicky just laughed. Then the year-blur happened for the last time, and we were all standing in a small room, and the snappy girl muttered something like: "I'm tired. I want to go back to bed." Then all these men came in and the one in front read out some paper about executing us, and then they just let fire with their guns. I grabbed hold of the snappy girl, who was screaming in terror, but I felt a stabbing pain in my chest. I screamed and fell, and the last thing I heard was one of the girls desperately shrieking my name before my head hit the floor.
And then I woke up, sobbing something about "they killed her, they killed her!" and my mother started to get annoyed with me after 10 minutes, when I was still sobbing that over and over again as if my own life depended on it. The girls' faces faded when I woke up, so I can't remember who was there besides Anastasia, otherwise I'd know which one the dream (that was so real I didn't know whether I was dreaming or not until I woke up) was saying I was. I really want to go to a Past Life Specialist.

I had a rather nice one last night... it was about some of the IF's former servants reminiscing about them and the times they had with them while on their vacations... I think it was supposed to be the Crimea but it was called something else in the dream. Also for some reason it was in present day, but all of these people were young and still alive. Anyway, they'd gone back to the IF's favorite vacation spot and remembered how they loved to pick a certain kind of flower, and began searching for it on a hill next to an Orthodox church. They weren't having much luck though, and said it was because those flowers had grown very rare in the decades since Nicholas's reign. When they reached the top of the hill, they discovered that NAOTMAA had been there too, searching for the same flowers on the other side of the hill. One of them said something like "Why look, it's Their Majesties!" And Alexandra smiled and said "No one has called us 'Their Majesties' in quite a long time." I unfortunately don't remember anything else after that, but it made me happy.

I dreamed that my friend (Tatiana) was going to marry Alexei! Me, Taty, tsar and Alexei were in a church.

And the Tsar, she and Alexei wanted me to look for the missing wedding ring, lol.

She was with an weird light blue dress, lol. Alexei was with his usual uniform and the tsar too.

Unfortunately I didn't see AOTMA, but I remember seeing girls in white dresses!

I haven't had any Romanov dreams, however, sometimes when I can't sleep, I'll think about how the Imerial Family might have escaped from the Alexander Palace.  For instance, the marble columns could have had secret doors and an elevator to take them to an underground train.  Or, if we could have given them modern equipment, a helicopter could have swooped down and rescued them. Wishful thinking.

Well if Fireflies count, I usually have ones where my bffl and I manage to sneak the family out of a tunnel through the cellar, onto some river barge, and then from there a long journey through Nepal to China and eventually to Japan.  I can totally see OTMA and Alexandra wearing pretty kimonos and munching on sushi while Nicholas is screaming at the top of his lungs and is always paranoid about some random monk with a samurai sword trying to attack him.  Alexei would probably be sitting there like "meh...." wishing he could play with all the boys outside who happen to be practicing with wooden swords.  Don't laugh that's my favorite Firefly. I had the most frightening dream last night...my sister and I were with the IF in a big, old house, but we always heard their voices from other rooms through doors and never saw them. It was dark outside. A couple of guards were moving us further and further down into the old house (looked like the Ipatiev house, but much taller and it seemed to be made of only wood), and we'd stop in small rooms and sit on benches while waiting for the IF to come down the stairs behind us. Then we ended up in the basement of the house. My siblings (my little brother was there suddenly) and I sat on a bench (the IF was in another room) and a guard whipped out what looked like a fold-up machete (uggghhh) and a nun in the room whom I think might have been Ella started talking to us about how "this will not be easy..." and I said to the man, "But we're not the real--" and he sort of cut our legs with the machete. I was thinking, aren't they going to shoot us first? Then the dream ended. The three of us were wearing clothes of the era in the dream.

It was awful! And I felt real pain in my legs too. Don't you just hate when that happens?

Yikes.. this is the topic for me - I've had very clear dreams most all of my life. As a writer of historical fiction, most of my best ideas came, at least the beginnings of a plot, in a dream and often I can remember large amounts of details from dreams (though sometimes I have very bizarre ones like the one I had last night where my cousin was chasing me around my grandmother's house wearing a pink rabbit head and holding a can of whipped cream... yeah.. ) But anyway, I do sometimes dream about the Romanovs.. and most frequently Alexei as he's my favorite of the bunch, though frequently OTMA are also involved, and sometimes Nicholas - but oddly enough, hardly ever Alexandra...

In any case, the most recent dream I've had was at Children's Island. And I was there and it was summer (circa 1913). And I was on the opposite side of a bank with the house at Children's Island across a little river inlet deal and there were lots of trees, the foliage was very very dense and green and I could hear a lot of birds and the sun was bright. I was walking through the trees when I happened upon the Island and I stopped when I heard voices and then stood behind the trees, taking looks out every once in awhile to see what I could. OTMA and Alexei were playing in the water and they had a dog with them - though which one I don't know. And they were splashing each other. Anastasia had fallen in and then when Olga went to help her out, she pulled Olga in too and then they got into a big water fight. Alexei had swum out a little further and then suddenly he turned and looked right at me. Like he knew I was standing there and he just looked and looked.. and he never blinked. And I didn't want to blink either. Then Tatiana called him and he looked away at her for a second, and then he looked back and I had got down in the grass so I could see them but they couldn't see me and he kind of rubbed his eyes and Tatiana said, "What are you staring at Lyoshka?" and he said. "There's a girl in the trees." And Tatiana kind of looked at him a bit oddly and was like "What do you mean?" "I don't know.. there was a girl - A girl Mashka's age with hair darker than yours and dressed funny." And Tatiana just looked at him real strangely and shook her head.

So then the girls got ready to leave and I stayed hidden in the grass and they told him to hurry up and he was like "I'll catch up." And then he came across the water and I was panicking because I didn't want to be caught and get in trouble with the cossack guards and he just stood on the bank about ten feet from me and looked around and he was like "I did see you... I am coming back and find you. Then I can ask you why you're wearing men's trousers!" And he giggled and ran off through the water and I woke up.

I had a nice dream a few nights ago. I dreamt that I was watching a Romanov movie that doesn't exist...But I wish it did! It was focused on OTMA, and seemed to be set during 1907. All I remember of the movie itself was a short scene where Anastasia was sneaking into somewhere. Her hair really stood out, it was this lovely strawberry blond, sort of a reddish-brownish-golden color. And I also recall the credits, which had the 1906 chair picture of Anastasia and her 1911 court dress picture very nicely colorized. It's a pity I don't remember more from the movie! Humph. Maybe if I think about it enough tonight, I'll dream about it again!

Romanov dreams?

I had one not long ago.  OTMA were playing beach volleyball.  (Chalk this up to the heat.)  Tatiana and Anastasia were playing against Olga and Marie.  Alexei was watching on the side.  Believe it or not, it was an epic game, since the girls could run faster and jump higher than normal humans.  There was some epically remixed and pumped-up "classical" music playing in the background (like what is heard in the Parodius video games).  I cannot remember who won in the end, but Tatiana and Anastasia were winning at first.  (And this whole thing was nothing like that Dead or Alive game.)

So, yeah, that's about it.

I hadn't had any Romanov dreams for quite a long time until a few days before I went to Russia a couple months ago. Very vivid ones of them.

I keep having dreams about the Winter Palace and what I think is the Neva. The last one I had though was kind of Peterhof and the Winter Palace/Neva mixed together.

Last night I dreamt that Alexandra liked sarsaparilla or sassafras tea. It was influenced by me wondering what those 2 things were. (they're a root used in a drink similar to root beer, and a kind of tree.) One can make tea from sassafras, but probably not sarsaparilla. It was a odd dream. I can't remember if I was really there, or read it in a book. I do recall being in the mauve room, or seeing a picture of a different view of it, though...

I had an odd one last night. It was that Alexandra, Olga, Tatiana and Alexei were escaping Russia after the revolution by pretending to be ordinary passengers on a modern-day cruise ship! Alexei and Olga were walking around the ship and socializing, etc., but Alix preferred to stay in her room, so Tatiana stayed with her. But then Olga told her mother something like "If you don't start acting like a normal passenger, people are going to get suspicious!" So then get this one... they all go around the ship in ordinary clothes, none of the frilly dresses and jewelry, and start playing in a bunch of slides the ship had! So all of them are repeatedly sliding down and going back up, and having a lot of fun. Right before the dream ended they were coming to their destination, and it was a strange island that made Alix uneasy. But I don't remember anything else about it. Except for a random part in the dream where I think Olga was trying to sing but had lost her voice, which was probably influenced by me having a really sore throat right now. It was certainly an amusing dream.

I spend last evening reading the thread about Leonka Sednev, and during the night i dreamt of Alexej. He had survived the execution (!!!) and had managed to escape. Years later he recall that it was possible because Leonka took his place. He cried and sobbed: "They have searched poor Leonka phisycally, poor dear!"
I know this doesn't make sense, but anyway... ::)

Well, Stephenie Meyer says the idea for "twilight" came her from a dream... who knows?
I'm quite amazed because... well you need a little explanation.
I'm a romanov fan since 2000 (so 11 years) but in these 11 years my interest has come up and down. Up like now for ca. 5 years, then down and down because not being english speaker and not living in US getting infos was difficult. In the period my interest was very up, anyway, i never dreamt of the IF, even if i wish i could. And now... now i dream of them almost every night O_o

BTW: a week ago i dreamt of Olga coming in the shop i work in, as a customer. I recognized her and fainted. What s tupid dream!

I had like the awesomest dream ever IMO. (my only Romanov dream... Oh well :] ) okay so I was walking into the Anchorage museum, (I never saw the outside in my dream, but somehow I knew) and it was way different. I was inside the entrance, and there was a golden staircase. The walls were deep red velvet, with oil painted pictures, I didn't really concentrate on those, just the staircase. Anyways, it was all a gold colour, and it was the kind that was wide at the bottom while it curves inward at the middle and wider at the top. There was a square arch at the top of the stairs, but the weird thing was that it was pitch black, I couldn't see if there was another room or even a door! Next thing i knew, my view was a little me that stood in front of another square arch that looked like the one before. (ny view was like a security camera looking down) the room was filled with grey shelves, the kind with holes in the shelves, but they are smaller than a penny. On these shelves were bankers boxes, the kind where you have a space to write something. I never saw any writing on them though. My view suddenly shifted, like I was the one seeing everything. Anyways, I saw pictures, but they weren't like any other picture I had ever seen. They were exactly like those moving pictures in harry potter! They moved, were in black and white, and had not sound. They were all of the IF, chatting amongst themselves, and the pictures were on loop or something because they repeated themselves. Right about then I realized it was a Romanov dream. The weird thing is, they didn't really look like the IF. They looked like the people from Romanovy, but looked more like the IF. I kept looking around, but then the dream faded into black, and it was almost like a PowerPoint presentation. Every picture of the IF ever taken seemed like it was paraded in front of me for an hour each photo, but it felt only like 5 minutes for the whole display. My whole mouth was wide open during this, I could feel it. What happened next was perhaps the awesomest thing ever. This is super hard to explain, but anyone who has seen Romanovy has seen Nicholas on the train. When he puts out the pictures in it, he has that transforming watch was it? that you could unfold and set it down and it could have a picture of someone you wanted. In my dream this thing was gold, and it unfolded by itself on the black "screen" and in it was a picture of Tatiana. It looked exactly like one of her 1914 close ups, and was fully coloured. My mouth was still opened and I remember these words she said. "Yes, you're staring." she said this with a chuckle in the moving picture, and her voice was so awesome. Her voice was rich, and light. Her tone was like an Its okay, i get that a lot tone, or its okay, i don't mind tone. She sounded amused xD what happened next made me mad. MY MOTHER WOKE ME UP. I was mad at her for a week, she didn't understand why (she didn't know about my dream). That's the only Romanov related dream I've ever had. I loved every second of it too.

My mouth still wants to gape at that xD I've only had the one, and don't understand why Tatiana was in it. Not that I have anything against her, she's just awesome like that, but I always imagined a Maria or Anastasia, or even Olga dream more. I think about them a lot, but I don't think I'm going to have another for a long time. (also, that room with the shelves was like an Indiana Jones moment. It was huge/endless, and it was all shelves and banker boxes full of moving pictures. total bliss ehh?)

Last night I had the weardest dream......Of Rasputin. Okay so I was at my house, and Anastasia ran into my house, and Rasputin, walking, fallowed her in and, in to my bed  room. Then he came out. Then we had people over, and I was trying to show them him but, I was the only one who could see him (why I don't know). So I got out my laptop, and showed them a picture of him, and I was explaning all about him, then, (here is the weird part) he came over to me, put his hand on my sholder, then dissapered.....

Weird. :O

I had a dream, but nothing to do with the family (sort of)
My parents were selling things in an auction house, and they were selling my stuff for like 0.01 cents, and like 5cents. They, they came to a box, marked "Maria Nikolaevna" and my dad asked me "Do you want me to sell this? Malia's sister would pay us 5 dollars." and I said "No Way!" and he said okay. Right about then I woke up. I think the box might have been filled with stuff like letters and clothes...

i had a dream a while ago that i was home alone with my dad we kept knowing that a ghost was going to show up and i was literally terrified in my dream, and then the phone rang and i had like a heart attack from fear and i answered and it was anastasia begging me for help, and i was vaguely aware of the other siblings in the background and then i like slammed the phone down and me and my dad had to keep watch all night for the ghosts and it was so real and so scary because the house was pitch black.
everyone seems to dream of alix and nicky rather than otma, wish i could dream of them, but thats the only romanov dream i've ever had.

I had a dream last night (its 11.30 here, but not this night) that I was at some sort of fair on a street, and they had the weirdest things, and anyways, me and someone else were hungry, but all the shops on the long and only street we were on were closed. There was some sort of cheesy carnival game/game that you put quarters in, that had food as a prize. Anyways, I got like 6000 points and decided on the option "keep your lamb and have a free game and have a coupon for free pizza at Sicily's" for some reason, and my friend had like 300 points and she got a honey oat bar, an ice cream tub, and a stuffed bear. (the small, cloth kind) now, I was really really hungry, and I followed her to the car where her army husband was. In the parking lot, there were GIANT pieces of cardboard, with coloured plastic peanuts on them. They were arranged into artwork of OTMA. I remember quite clearly, an icon (I could tell it was an icon because of a halo and her head covering) of Tatiana with her 1914 bob. There was a big moving truck thing infront of them, and it was all quite weird.
It was pretty funny when I woke up though :D

I just had another dream; my best friends family was living in a motel, or hotel of something. Anyways, I went to visit them, and I did. While I was there, I heard loud knocking sounds (like someone was knocking on a wall) followed by softer knocking. When I asked my best friend what that was she said it was her brother and the Tsarevitch! I turned the corner to see the little brother, knocking on the wall shared with the next door rooms, and getting a muted knock in return. Somehow I knew that other hotel room contained the IF a couple days before their execution. Me and the friend started to say "we freakin' love you alexei" for some reason. I heard in return a child's laugh, but the wall muted it so much you could barely hear it.

And that was my dream last night :)

Hello to all! :D

I have a great one 2 days ago. I don't know how, but I was with the IF in a big room, like the ones in Alexander palace. The room have big windows and white curtains, and was very bright. I see better and interact with OTMA, but I know that Nicholas, Alexandra and Alexei are there too. I, Maria and Anastasia are seated on one side of the room and Olga and Tatiana on the other. There are a table in my front, and my bag was on the sofa where OT are seated. Maria and I chatted and after she talked with Anastasia, and they laughed a lot. I was like in bliss: for the first time I was hearing their voices! I remember Maria's voice so well, it was gentle and soft, and I think I heard Anastasia's voice too, because when they laughed, I heard a grave girl's voice mixing with Maria's. So I think that I must record it and go search for my camera in my bag. While I was searching, Tatiana talked to me and asked about the camera. I found it and go to the table again and so OTMA came to see the "strange" object. I was checking the camera's battery when the dream ended.

I was so happy when wake up that go tell everything to my mother! I hope I have more dreams like that soon! hehe

I love your last one Tayla!

Kisses!

Denise

Title: Re: More Romanov Dreams?

Had one;
(I've actually had this one before, but this was before Romanov interest!)

So O and T had a baby each (!) and Tatiana named hers Grace, and Olga's baby name started with a C... Anyways, for some weird reason, they all had to go to the arctic. (it must have been a danger thing, like the world at war) and so there was a house built in the extreme arctic, with them living in it. Their were two other people along, this lady with carrot hair, (bright orange hair) and O and T's sister. (this was by no means Maria or Anastasia) the sister was spiteful. For some weird reason, the BP had to leave, and their babies stayed behind. The lady with orange hair said she would take care of them, but she didn't. Instead she lied at wait for the babies to die (meanie!) and then she would take them and sell them (?!?!) O and T found out about her plan after this one guy was transported to the island. (there was a huge storm after the BP left, like apocalyptical portions, and everyone was stuck on the island. A guy switched place with the BP, but he was a bad guy.)

The brand new evil guy was planning to get the babies and sell them when they died, but he was not in cahoots with the orange hair lady. He had a cellphone, and the Russian Secret Service caught the conversation and analyzed it. The guy was talking about rustling baby calves, but they infered that he was trying to steal the babies. They battled through the snow, and caught the guy. By then the BP got through and saved the babies, but they were close to death (!!!). The orange haired lady did not give in, and went into hiding to try and take the babies. The sister somehow survived, and she felt unwelcomed, since the BP were paying more attention to the babies, and not her. She decided to run away, grabbed her stuff, and snuck back on the helicopter that brought the BP to the arctic.

I woke up right about then, and never figured out what happened. I have had this dream once before, but it was way before I learned about the Romanovs. I had no idea who the two ladies were, or that they were Russian etc etc.

Iíve had only a few Romanov-dreams through years but last night I had one.

I was at the Peter and Paulís cathedral in St.Petersburg. There were tourists in side the cathedral but I was alone placing a beautiful bouquet in front of the thom of Nicholas and his family. I donít know why but I felt sad and worried and maybe stressed. Suddenly I noticed a bright light in front of me and looked up. And there was Nicholas standing and looking at me smiling. He was a ghost but not a scary one, more like a guardian angel one and he was shining this beautiful light. Naturally, I couldnít believe my eyes and was very shocked. Then he put his hands to my shoulders and said to me: ďDonít be afraid, my child. Youíll never be alone in life because I will always be there walking beside you and taking care of you.Ē Then he faded away. I looked around and no-one seemed to noticed what just had happened. When I left the cathedral I had this weird but lovely warm feeling inside of me and felt much happier and less worried.

I think it was a very beautiful dream and I felt really good even when I woke up :)

I've just dreamt of the whole family. They were - it seemed - in the crimea and were spending a very simple life... and i was watching them from somewhere out of sight, or maybe just like you see a movie on the screen and thought: "Oh, that's great to tell in my novel!". Alas, my novel is set in 1918, but anyway.. LOL-
What was strange was that at a certain point poor Maria felt ill with scarlet fever, and was slowly to recover. I was upset: "But she'n not Beth of Little Women! OTMA never had scarlet fever, as far as I know, and certainly they did not have it in 1914!" (for some reason i was sure it was 1914.) I was shouting this at the "screen" when a narrator voice came out saying that Maria would die before her sisters, in Sptember 1917. I was puzzled and started shouting even more: "That's not true, that's a lie, you're a stupid!" but on the screen I could see OTA reactions to their sister's death, and it was terrible, so i stopped shouting and bursted out crying.
My husband thought i had a nightmare!
And i swear the last time i read Little Women was something 15 years ago!!

Ok, another one. They are following me also at nights, it seems LOL

This time i was digging in a cave (???? but why???) and i found out that in there there was Anastasija (she was ca. 13, 14 years old) living there with a hedgehog (???). The cave was full of bats and i run away scared, because they were really big bats. This is funny because where i live there are a lot of little bats and i'm not afraid of them, on the contrary i like find them in the wood when i go out with the dog and look at them sleeping. What a stupid dream!

I had a dream this morning ( I was soposed to be getting ready for school) and i was in a field with Tatiana and olga and olga's dog (?) was missing and we were trying to find it. Tanya got frustrated with olga and went to Alexandra. We were about to leave and Alexandra said she could stay and look for her dog then she asked me if i were staying with olga, I said yes and said goodbye to her tatiana and anastasia (where was maria?). We looked around the field and then we went to look in town, it looked exactly like a town now a day. Then we saw maria (i think she was shopping) and i said bye to her and she said bye to me (sweet voice). Then we made it to an ice cream truck.... My grandpa woke me up.... i was so mad it was the best dream i ever had!

I know how you feel, when someone wakes you up from a great dream like that! I had one about Tatiana a long time ago, and I was so mad when my mother woke me!

But I had another recently.

I was Olga, (I just somehow know that, I never saw my face or anything) and for some reason, I was trapped in a Catholic school. Yes, a Catholic school. I don't know how I got there, but I was there. It looked so much like the upper floor of my school, just a big long hall with classrooms and lockers on one side, but all the students were in class, and for some reason I was trying to escape. I don't really know why I was, but I do remember there was a priest, Father (something that starts with a D), and he was trying stop me from escaping. For some reason there were people at every corner trying to stop me too (they were the minions of Father D), and after a very long while, I finally got out, but there were archers trying to stop me. I was stung by an arrow in my right arm, but I kept running. When I made it outside, what I saw was my friend's big gray house, which startled me because the school seemed so much bigger. I ran down the driveway and into the street in front of it. Right about then my dream ended.

I was rather glad to wake up from this one! It wasn't very pleasant, and I could feel the pain of being hit with those arrows. This dream reminds me of the scenario of the cellar, and how everyone was shooting, and I couldn't escape! I think the Catholic v. Orthodox thought could stand for Reds v. Whites, and the school a prison. My friends and I jokingly refer to school as prison a lot, but this time it was much more real! Oh, I really hope I get a pleasant dream soon! I'm just glad the dream had a better ending than the reality though.

Anyone else have dreams?

Hmmmm interesting dream, Tayla!

The ONLY Romanov dream I've remembered having is (I still see it clearly) that I was on the standart, and I was talking to Anastasia. I remember her voice(it was low-medium), but (if you get me) I can't remember what she actually said, but all I know is I remember the voice, and seeing her face, c.1912, so she was around 11. She was dressed in this outfit:

Oh and I think I had one not so long ago where I met the Dowager Empress. If I remember correctly, she was on her own wearing a court dress, and all I remember saying was "Grandmamma" and hugging her....strange  ???  ???

But as for other dreams? Thats all i can recall...the latter one of the dreams was really odd though.

I had one last night...

Sorry to say that I don't remember any of the dialogue between myself and characters but it was a rescue mission I was leading, alone. The only recognizable main characters were myself, Nicholas, Olga and Anastasia.

I was armed and leading them through a trap door in the basement of a house and then through some type of bunker and trenches that eventually led outdoors. The trenches were reminiscent of WW1 and soldiers, medics, etc were racing past us not stopping to ask any questions. Their ages seemed to correspond to one another but the timing wouldn't have been right for a logical rescue from captivity circa 1917-18. Anastasia was clearly 11 or 12. Olga around 17, and Nicholas wasn't as aged (i.e. without significant graying or lines on his face) as has been depicted towards the end.

I didn't get the sense that we were being pursued closely but there was still a great sense of urgency to get to safety. We eventually made it to a clearing in some field all alone and stopped to take a break. My dream disintegrated from there...wish it could have played through to a happy ending with us being reconnected with the rest of the family or something. Oh well, dreams are flukey like that...

The great thing about such a dream is it lets one play out what so many wish to do even now, nearly a 100 years later  ... that is ,  get them to safety. It means alot to get the chance , even in a dream...and a sense of urgency  happens even when one reads of this time, much less be involved in a rescue. Terrific  dream!

I had a Romanov dream about a week ago and it's very unusal for me to dream about them . This certainly is the clearest one I can recall.  It was like watching a film . it's 1914, OTMA was visiting  an abandoned castle,(  the family and suite  would picnic at abandoned villas etc. it was like that  ) The girls are in an upper room looking out to a wonderful view. Anastasia suddenly says " This is were I'll have my honeymoon. The Big Pair :  " Honeymoon Imp? " AN pulls herself up to her full height, and says in a very grown up way , "yes I mean to marry and have children " BP , they are amused " Well this is news! Anyone we know?"   AN " No, but I'll know him when I meet him" Then Marie says in a very exasperated voice " But a honeymoon! Here!? There's not a chair or a plate ! You'll have to bring everything! " and Anastasia says giggling" I dare say I will ."

Glad you have yourself a Romanov dream :-) Very cute Bless. Did it trail off immediately afterwards or did it shift from there?

I had a dream a while back ago now, but I was saying Irina's words to my nephew. My nephew can't talk by the way and that's what made it so strange.

In the dream we were sitting on my bedroom floor and I said: "Say peace" and he said "War." So then I said to him, "No, A. D. say peace, peace." And he still said "War, war, war!"

I had another one the other night.  In this dream, Tatiana (the Grand Duchess, not my cat) was my girl friend.

Interestingly enough, me, Tatiana, and a bunch of friends were talking about the current situation in Ukraine.  I wish I could remember more, because it was very interesting.

Two weeks ago I dreamed that I was a turist in 2014 and I was visiting the Winter Palace with a group of turists from many countries and then I left my group and I started to walk alone. I walked and walked for hours, totally alone in the palace and suddenly I saw Maria and Anastasia in a room, they were talking to each other about fashion! I started to walk in their direction and I started to talk with them and we became great friends! I told them that I was a turist from 2014 and they didn't belive me and started to laugh, sudenly Maria told me that we were in 1914, I was surprise because I became a time traveler, but I still wanted to see the palace and then the girls started to show me the palace.

The dream ended.

Don't you just hate how quickly, and without warning, such fantastic dreams end? It's almost cruel that our subconscious is programmed to work in such a way. Of course I suppose it's a double-edge sword. When those dreams become nightmares the subconscious part of you can't wait for them to be over.

I had another dream yesterday!
In my dream I was walking alone in a beach and then I saw a little girl playing alone with the sand, she was doing a castle. As I love children I started to walk at the girl's direction and then she turned to me and asked me to play with her. I started to help her with the castle and when we finished she kissed my cheek and said: thank you for the help with my castle.

The dream ended.
The little girl was Tatiana.
She was seven years old in my dream.

Another dream on last week:

In my dream I was in a palace, I don't know in what palace. I was walking alone by the garden and then Olga Nikolaevna came running to me and invited me to a dinner. I accepted and she took my hand and I ran with her to the dinner room of the palace. When we arrived there Olga invited me to sit at her side and I sat at her left side. Was an official dinner and I saw many interesting people there but I don't remember who were they. Grand Duke Dmitri was at Olga's right side and they were very happy, they were smiling to each other and Dmitri kissed Olga's cheek. Suddenly Nicholas II proposed a toast, he was also very happy. He spoke many things but I couldn't hear because the table was so big and he was very far. We toasted and Dmitri gave a kiss at Olga's hand and then I woke up.

I had a dream not so long ago . There were Anastasia and Nicholas and someone I don't know. Nicholas was saying in French " I introduce you to my daughter , Anastasia " . He had the kind of voice that you can hear in old movies . It was a gentle voice . I don't know why he was talking in French because I have never seen / watched movies about the Romanovs in French . It was a short dream but sweet .

In another one , I was watching photos about Nastya and she was dressed as mermaid and I said " If Anastasia still wants to be an actress , she woulc play a mermaid " . Then , I saw her filmed in a video  camera screen and she was dressed as a mermaid and was very good at it .

Anna, about the dream in french, I think it's because the russian court spoke french. Maybe you read this information in a book and in your dream Nicholas spoke in french.

About the second dream, I think that Anastasia would be a beautiful mermaid in a movie!

I dreamed I was at the coronation of Grand Duke Michael as Tsar of Russia. Nicholas and Alexandra were there too, but they were with a sad expression on their faces .
I remember that Michael was in a Cossack uniform. He knelt before a priest and the priest placed the crown on his head .

And them I wake up.

If you are male you have probably dreamed of being a nobleman, Baron, Count or Prince. Being a Guards Cavalry officer or Okhrana super spy. You try and save the IF or at least tatania.

If you are a female you have probably dreamed of being  a noblewoman, Baroness, Countess, or Princess. You go to the Smolny. You are the lady in waiting or maid of honor to your favorite Romanov or you are the hostess of a fashionable salon. You also try and save the IF or at least Olga.

The problem is how to have a happy ending. I don't think any of us want to stay in lenin or Stalin's USSR. and fleeing into exile means if you are a man you get to be a taxi driver in Paris. If you are a woman you get to be the wife of a taxi driver. About the only way to do this is to be from Finnland. Men your military skills help win Finnlands independence and keep it during the Winter War of 1939-40 and WW II. Women you also get to help out. Well it sure beats going into exile.

Pretty funny James and I suppose sadly accurate. However when it comes to dreams any cinematic type ending is possible. I'm probably too much a Romanov devotee to imagine myself asking for anything in return for saving their lives. However, we're they able to smuggle those jewels out with them I think some type of financial arrangement could be made. How many of their precious valuables would I need to buy a nice cozy house somewhere in the States and not have to work another day in my life?

I had two dreams this week:

On tuesday I dreamed that I was together with the Imperial Family in the moment of their execution, but when the soldiers
started to shoot I closed my eyes and when they stopped I opened my eyes and I saw everybody dead near of me. After this I woke up. Was a horrible dream.

----

On friday I had a better dream!
I dreamed that I was invited to grand duchess Tatiana's wedding! in my dream her wedding was in Italy during the 20's. I don't remember who was her groom but I remember that she was extremely beautiful. I also remember that during the wedding reception, grand duchess Maria was very happy. She wearing a red dress, red shoes and red lipstick and she was drinking too much wine.

I had a dream recently that I was a Soviet commissar and that Stalin and I inspected the Ipatiev house.  The IF was present for this inspection.  I announced to them that Stalin aspired to world domination, which made the GD's giggle.   It was one of those dreams where I was aware it was a dream, and I kept wishing in the dream that I could have been anything other than a Red.

Answering to an old post I know, but this totally made me laugh! I just had one dream a couple of days ago which, surprise surprise, ended with me fleeing to Finland with the IF. This seems to be the case though every time I have these dreams, but I think it's quite natural since I actually am from Finland...

The dream I had though: I don't remember much about it but somehow I was married to Nicholas (Alix had died from some kind of disease) and we had these 5 little kids together. Plus OTMAA of course. I believe we walked all the way from Siberia to Finland and lived on a nice little farm all happily together. I think it was june/august since the weather was very hot and all the girls were complaining about it :D

Btw, isn't it such an awkward feeling when you dream like this and then wake up next to your fiancee like nothing happened. Except the fact that you just had a sort of affair with someone else. I hate that feeling even though I'm fully aware of the fact that a dream affair isn't actually comparable to an IRL one...

Finally had my first Romanov dream , after reading Andrew Cook's underwhelming book before I went to sleep .
I was in my childhood home (not lived there since 1992) and Olga was there , as well as other people, but I can't remember who . Anyway I showed her some sort of art book I had made as a child which included some small drawings of her . Olga seemed pleased and moved by them and she touched my arm . Turning the pages we came to a spectacular full page drawing of her . I then went into the kitchen and she tried to follow, but I was ashamed of the mess in the kitchen so I talked to her in the doorway . End of dream . Too many hidden meanings in there to mention!

I had two dreams in the last night but I just remeber of one of them. In my dream I saw Nicholas, Olga and Tatiana after the revolution.
Nicholas was fishing at the beach near of Livadia Palace and Olga, Tatiana and I were running by the beach and after we entered in the Palace to take tea.

The dream was long but I just remember this part.

The dreams I had were years ago, but I remember them like they were yesterday. This one is my personal favourite so I thought I would share them with you all:

The first one I was running across the grass of Alexander Palace, wearing a white dress and barefooted, with a hat similar to the ones the Grand Duchesses had with the ribbon wrapped around the base and blowing in the wind. I was laughing, smiling, and I felt my hands being taken. When I looked to both sides to see who it was, surprisingly I saw Maria and Olga. It wasn't in black and white like all the pictures we have seen, but Olga's hair in the sun nearly blinded me, it was that blonde in the sunlight!

Maria winked at me from my other side and the next thing I know we stopped running, and a small girl zipped past us. It was the little Imp herself, Anastasia, who was cheering and yelling happily. Just as she realised Maria, Olga and I had stopped she placed one foot forward to run but slipped, and there she was standing in a puddle up to her knees, ruining her dress which was identical to the ones the three of us were wearing. We laughed hard and hard at the youngest, who turned her head and pouted at us, her mouth moving but no sound coming out which bewildered me, however from the expression on her face they were not overly pleasant words!

When I realised the dream had not included Tatiana, I heard a voice shout from behind us in Russian, a language I did not understand, but my brain immediately reacted and I shouted back, the voice coming from my lips not the one my realistic body was accustomed too, and there was Nicholas, Alexandra and Alexei. Alexei was laughing at his older sister who was stomping towards us, her legs and bottom portion of her dress caked in mud. Alexandra was looking disapproving at the dress, but a little smile was trying to creep onto her face and Nicholas was holding his stomach, he was laughing so hard. When the four of us reached them, Alexandra immediately began tending to Anastasia's dress and Nicholas gave Olga, Maria and I kisses on our cheeks. I saw Alexei turn to me and mouth a word, and in my confusion I woke up.

I late hypothesised that my dream had placed me in the position of Tatiana, enjoying a time spent with her family. I thought it was amazing my brain had just taken my obsession with the Romanovs into a dream that placed me in the point of view of the second daughter herself!

My brain had also, when I came to think of it, had made Alexei and Anastasia mute because I had not heard how they sounded, including Olga, Maria and Alexandra, but because we have videos of Nicholas' voice-some pitched down-my brain took that and placed it into my dream!

From the appearance of Anastasia, Maria and Olga and my own age at the time I believe my dream took place in 1912.
