Title: translation help
Post by: Leopold on September 27, 2005, 10:25:50 AM
I would need your help in translating these three Russian orders (decorations) into English and/or - if anybody could - into German:

1) zolotaja medal‘ s almazami v pamjat‘ vosstanovlenija Zimnego Dvorca ?

2) znak otlichia „za Voennyj Dostojnstvo“ ?

3) pochetnyj chlen Imperatorskogo Moskovskogo obshchestva sel’skogo chozjajstva (is this actually a kind of award?)

Are there any pictures of these awards on internet?

Thanks in advance

Leopold

1) zolotaja medal‘ s almazami v pamjat‘ vosstanovlenija Zimnego Dvorca

Gold medal with diamonds in memory of the Winter Palace restoration.
This is a similar silver medal, reverse side:

2) znak otlichia „za Voennyj Dostojnstvo“

Sign of Distinction for Military Virtue (Virtuti Militari) - a Polish award.
There were (and still are) 5 classes of the order. The most widespread 5th class (silver):
