This is an interesting article that focuses attention on the Ropsha palace, its situation of despair...

I quote one information, it is that a a team of specialists have been delegated in order to inventory what remains in the fields.

Novodevitchi convent in St Petersburg (one must not mix with the well-known one in Moscow) has plan to reconstruct the bell tower that was destructed under the soviet area- as usual- in 1925.

Some news on the near to open hotel Four season in the ancient Lobanov-Rostovski palace known as House of lions.

The reconstruction was one of the scandal of those last years, including destructions of some historic structures. Some modern adds have been avoided thanks to the mobilisation of public opinion however if the glass coupola have not been build, the roof have been modified in a modern way that is quite inappropriate for petersburg lovers as we are.

The house of baron Stieglitz was transferef to the University of St Petersburg:

Some news (I can not find how to send it in english, sorry) on the Michael dacha that is restred in order to create the russian Harvard, works are going on!

More to see on Kamenoostrovski palace here:

Another nice information is the reconstruction of the church of sennaya plochad in St Petersburg, this was a controversial issue. The church well-known thanks to Dostoievski and his character of Raskolnikov was destroyed under the soviet period. Major repairs on the place raises the question of the reconstruction, once was proposed a partial reconstruction of the steeple but after a public debate, the whole reconstructrion of the 18th century building have been choiced. As a conclusion, the place will  finally regain is original appearance for the whole.

Kamenoostrovski paloace will be fully restored in 2013 on purpose of the use for the guests of the town.

Gatchina will receive more money from St Petersburg city
