Messages - Mandie, the Gothic Empress

Pages: [1] 2 3 ... 134
Actually eric, they got along very well and were friends before GD Elena's wedding and afterwards. The Empress never held a grudge against GD Elena because of her mother the grand duchess Vladimir.

same session (some pose as above) Princess Elisabeth of Greece

Personally I don't think Maria Pavlovna Jr was close to anyone expt for her brother.

I thought Peter was his parents favorite? I I know George favored Peter and IMO I think George was a bit of a woman hater.

I very much liked the book and as some people say it has a lot of the Tsarina and the Tsarevich, yes that's true but if you think about it the girls lives revolved around their mother´s and brother´s lives.

The Russian book on Maria Pavelovna  will be published by Eurohistory later this year possibly in English, I heard this on their Facebook page.awesomness!

Also another question will the two books have the same pictures?

Thank you :)

I'm a little confused so "four sisters" and "romanov sisters " are the same book?

Ah I see thanks, the book was way more off then me as it's a Hanoverian royal not a Hessian royal in a Russian book about the imperial Russian family. As a Hessian  royal would make a lot more sense the  a Hanoverian royal.

In one of my Russian books this photo is labeled as " Queen Victoria of Great Britain and her granddaughter Princess Alix of Hesse". I don't think so
I think it's Princess Karl of Hesse (née  Elisabeth of Prussia) with one of her grand children, possibly a Battenberg? What do you all think? Since I don't think it's Alix nor one of her sisters.

no I think your right, its Crown Princess Stephanie!

the Empress Elisabeth was more anti-social then the shy and nervous Russian Empress! And was possibly out and about doing her own thing.

Tatiana Nikolaievna was slapped by an ill-tempered governess name Mary when the grand duchess was about 5, she (Mary) was later told by Ms. Eager, not to slap the child but simply correct the problem by words (got off easy). Another story of a grand duchess being slapped. (Six years at the Russian Court).

I highly doubt the Tsarevich was ever slapped, the nanny would have probably thrown in to jail for life if she negatively lad a hand on the hemophiliac heir.
