I found this on eBay, cleaned it up and made it abit smaller so it's easier to colorize.

Good job guys! It's crazy how good you all have gotten.

I'm doing okay... I'm wired shut from jaw surgery andI have one more week of it to go (so one month in total of not eating anything! just drinkings tuff! aaaah!).

I tried a new technique with colorizing the skin...using different colors and layer properties to make it look more realistic. It looks much better when not saved as a PNG, less dark.

This is the first colored picture I've done in, gosh, a good 6 months?

I love how they've stolen my colorized photographs and graphics, mostof 'em.  ::)

A week from today, at 10am, I go under the knife. Eek!  I'm gonna be wired shut for about a month... ew.  I'm glad it's finally getting done but I'm scared to death.

Oh my goodness y'all are getting so awesome at this!

I haven't colored a picture in ages... I should try my hand at it again.

I complained to this guy who was selling some of my colorized photos - he said HE colored them over mine, and apologized.  Now I'm still gonna report him to eBay if he does this again, he said he wouldn't, but oy, claiming it was his work... gah.  Stupid people!

Nifty! I remember you emailing me about this, haha. I'd appreciate it if you mentioned where you got the photos from - a lot of them look like my scans! :)

Oh, and for anyone who cares, I'll probably actually update my Olga site...sometime soon! LOL.  Photo albums are so irritating with the upkeep.

I've got to laugh. I emailed the guy in question and no response - also emailed eBay and stuff.  It's sad since I have sold nice printed out copies of my own colored pics on eBay (and Grand Duchess Ella was sweet enough to PM me asking to make sure it's me! :) ).  There's not much we can do about it, though I do have my name and copyright date on the bottom of the image; people just get rid of it.

The last two of Anastasia and Maria were taken in the Crimea in 1914 - I saw those in some article at Stanford University a few years ago. :)  The one of Anastasia was also taken at that time, as well asthe ones of her with Tatiana and Olga.

Awesome!  Too bad I didn't know about it or I could have joined you guys!

Haha, it's funny, I come here and people are talking about how they're looking at my books!  LOL.  I'm selling a bunch of stuff since I'm a broke college student... wheeee.  I'm glad people on APMB are looking, though; it makes me feel better that my books will go to good homes.  I've got loads of other books to get rid of, I have lots of memoirs I'm pondering selling for a few bucks, but mostly the stuff that everyone is interested in are the photo albums.  Prince Michael's book is $800+ on Amazon, I think it made my brain explode when I saw that.  Most of my photograph books I've gotten have been way overpriced ($100+, usually in the $85-100 range).

As far as I know everyone attended Olga's coming out party at Livadia in 1911.

There was a party in 1913 for the Terecentennial of the Romanov Dynasty that Olga went to with Nicholas.  Tatiana did not go.  Maria Feodorovna held a party in early 1914, January I believe, and Tatiana and Olga both went.

Everyone uses the same programs all season, though Shizuka and some other skaters have changed things around for the Olympics. :)

Sasha was beautiful.  I'm really proud of her, because two years ago she would have had a complete melt down.  But she went out there and sold her performance, let everything go, and it was amazing.  I was crying, not just because she'd let that gold go but because she was so beautiful and I was so proud of her.  She says there's no one to blame but herself, but that she's proud she was allowed to "let the music carry [me] through" the rest of her program.  It's sad but I think she'll go on to win Worlds, since Slutskaya and Arakawa aren't going.  Go Sasha!  :-*
