The original source is the Royal Collection, and there it's identified as Sergei.

I think these photos could be from their engagement, in January 1894. Probably more photos were taken with the rest of  the  family.

This photo comes from the book "Briefe der Zarin Alexandra von Russland an ihre Jugendfreundin Toni Becker-Bracht". In it the caption says 1893.
