All The Queen's Horses - A Diamond Jubilee Special
Alan Titchmarsh hosts a spectacular pageant in the grounds of Windsor Castle featuring horses and performers from around the world:

As DNAgenie rightly says it was perhaps the best Jubilee occasion, where you can clearly see HM enjoying and delighting in the whole show (no ear plugs here). For me the best part was the French horse whisperer. If you haven't yet seen it it's a real treat!

Unfortunately, it says: "This video can only be viewed from within the UK"!  Are there any other versions available for us mere mortals?
Thanks!

I hope you can view this on utube:

I've just been watching the film of the Diamond Jubilee Windsor Tattoo.  Apparently it was held at the Windsor Castle parade ground sometime in May and no one has mentioned it before.  I thought it was by far the best Jubilee celebration I have seen and the Queen loved it! It featured horses from all over the world doing their stuff to music - they were all brilliant and they and their riders/handlers masterly.  I might be prejudiced, being a horse person, but how come no-one has mentioned it before?

Elizabeth II is only the second British Monarch to have a Diamond Jubilee, the first was Queen Victoria in 1898.

In just a couple of more years, Elizabeth will break Victoria's record as longest serving British Monarch.

Perhaps we shall witness the Platinum Jubilee of 'Elizabeth the Great' in 2022!

I was most impressed that the main guns of HMS Belfast were fired as part of the finale of the Thames pagent. I believe I'm correct in saying that they were last fired in anger in 1951, during the Korean War.

It's easy to see the resemblance between Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth II, particularly as the present Queen gets older. Those Teck genes must be very strong.

With all due respect to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and forum members, perhaps news of HRH's health concerns would be better placed under his thread?

I have just seen The Diamond Jubilee concert and initially I gasped when The Queen made her entrance as she wore a heavy black cape; the colour of mourning. I can't tell you how relieved I was a few moments later, when I saw glimpses of her incredible golden gown, which we later saw in all its spendour.

I noticed that very sensibly The Queen wore earplugs while seated at the concert, however I couldn't spot them when she was later on stage. Of course the noise at such events is incredible and although the line-up for the event was first-class, there must be some performances she is less fond of; I suspect the earplugs helped there too!

It was marvelous to witness the outpouring of love and regard when The Prince of Wales mentioned The Duke of Edinburgh, and I hope that gave some comfort to The Queen, at what will be a very anxious time.

I think my least favourite parts were some of the 'fill-ins' by comedians, some of which appeared amateurish to me, particularly Lenny Henry's efforts to 'work' the crowd, which went on far too long. Needless to say when Her Majesty stepped on the stage it was the highlight of the evening. I much enjoyed a marvelous rendition of The National Anthem, complete with the introductory Gordon Jacobs Fanfare. One couldn't help but be impressed by a fabulous fireworks display at the conclusion of the concert; it was a world-class event which the British excel at.

HRH The Duke of Edinburgh is admitted to hospital due to what seems to be a blather infection,
probably from standing in the wind and rain for way too long yesterday during the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.

Very sorry for the dear man,and for HM.The concert is on as planned tonight.
