I've seen a few of her hair cropped after she had typhoid/typhus, but I'm wondering if there are any more? These are the ones I know of;

And I've seen another (similar to the first, but from a different angle). I'm wondering if there were any more than those. Feel free to post pictures you know of where her hair is growing back (the bobbed look), since I know there are plenty of those, but I'm looking for more pictures of her incredibly cropped short hair. I'm interesting in knowing how often they documented her short hair in photographs, basically - I know as it was growing back and bobbed, she went into public with her hair as normal, but I know that after the initial cut, she wore a wig for her photo shoots. So it'd be interesting to see whether she actually went around with her cropped hair often, or whether she wore the wig more often until a certain point - we know she didn't like the wig, but how often DID she wear it? If you can find any casual photos involving the wig, that would also be a good addition, but I'm primarily seeing how many photos there are with the cropped hair.

I decided to look for some recently as I just got my hair cut, and realized it's basically the same as Tatiana Nikolayevna's after the typhoid/typhus attack.

There are four photos of Tatiana here in the AP sick room with her cropped hair.

Jen that's not coming through, or at least not for me...

It's a shame she had to wear that preposterous wig during formal shots, although I can understand why given the time and place...but even with the short boyish styled hair cut she looks perfectly lovely as always! A true stunner!

I've seen a few of her hair cropped after she had typhoid/typhus

Tatiana had typhoid fever, contracted from a glass of orangeade contaminated with salmonella. (Nicholas II also had typhoid fever, I believe in early 1901 or late 1900.)

Typhus is a highly contagious bacterial infection commonly spread by fleas and lice, which is most often associated with crowded and unsanitary living conditions such as jails, wartime barracks, and concentration camps. Anne Frank is believed to have died of typhus.

These are probably the ones Jen was trying to link to -- they're all from Beinecke:

I know Anne Frank died of typhus, but I never knew the difference - my dad was rumoured to have one before his cancer was discovered, so they kept him in isolation at the hospital, but whenever we asked we got mixed responses of 'typhoid' and 'typhus' so I had assumed they were the same thing. Maybe the doctors in our hospitals are imply incompetent - it was their excessive drugging of my dad that stopped his heart, after all.

Anyway, thank you for the pictures!

Yes, those were the ones, Sarushka!

Brittany Catherine, they were in Album 2, page 43 I think. Those ones from the AP sick room and the two in the mauve room, are the only ones I have seen with that haircut.

They're often confused because their names are so similar, but they're not related at all.

It's amazing how much Tatiana with cropped hair looksl so much like her brother. In that right hand photo, without Alexei there to disprove it, I'd swear that was him in bed with his fluids! I actually made that mistake at first glance once when viewing her alone in her sickbed. It's uncanny, but then the girls resemblance to each other at times is so remarkable, why should gender preclude the other sibling?

I agree with you Rodney_G, in those photos, the resemblance is uncanny, it really is.

TN looks like Alexis there indeed and I find Alexis and Marie can look alike when they smile broadly . They all are more similar that is usually thought.
