Good!Sales were only down a mere 8%,peanuts in the light of times.

Contemporary art wasn´t the thing to purchase,but antique and old masters went
over the counter easily as investors/collectors ofcourse have more trust in the value
of the latter two then in a single brush of paint proclaimed art.

There have been 67.500 visitors at this years edition,and a Rubens and a El Greco left the building for 5 million euro each.Not bad.

It was a remarkeble opening weekend for TEFAF,Maastricht:

Yesterday was the last day of the very succesfull TEFAF.More visitors then before and good sales,better then expected in this "crisis".
But then there's always a market for valueble and rare items,regardless any hyped-up crisis.
Also,this TEFAF saw an increase of US buyers,the boys are back.

In the last hour tho,a valueble ring and pendant were stolen,no news on the thief(s) yet.
They value is about 960.000 euro.

The TEFAF Art and Antique fair,the most impressive and important of all fairs,will start next weekend march 18th.
