Fantastic pictures. Thanks. Is the palace still there, and if so, what kind of condition is it in?

There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?

When he shall die
Take him and cut him out into stars
And he shall make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,

Very cosy. As halen asked are they still there and what condition? The more I plan my trip to Russia the longer it gets as there is so much to see!

I'm searching for information on the current condition of the palace, but thus far haven't been able to find anything. Will continue to look.

Yes, this is Number 1 Wedding Palace in St-Petersbourg. Well-known for its high prices of the wedding ceremony.

Judging by the two chandeliers, this looks like it might have been a billiard room.

When I was in Petersburg, I went into the palace while some weddings were going on.  Only got to the bottom of the staircase, but managed to get a few photos.  I also took a shot of a heavy wood ceiling in a room off the main entrance.  It's not shown in any of these photos.
