Olga's diaries/Help translating entries

It's probably also an old handwriting, because I have some letters from my family, written somewhere in the 1920's, and that is written in another way than how we write now (written very curly, and the letters differ a little bit from now, I hope you can understand me :-/), and I think it's the same with this diary entry from Olga.

At least we do know that this entry was written on the 15th of March (but you probably knew that already )

I'll have a closer look at the picture, maybe I can help you a little bit with the deciphering .

I have a much larger version of this photograph of the diary at home; when I get home I'll post it (I'm at the school library right now, haha).  hopefully it will prove more legible.

It looks like she wrote something about Alexei, but what I don't speak Russian :-/

Hum, I can read a lot, but I can not do an english translation! I will write it russian with english letters, it will be legible, and someone can translate (for example Georgy). 2 words I could not read, for 2 I am not sure.

29  k zavtraku zabolela koriu. Lejala. Aleksei dnyom i Ania toje. Ukho [postepenno ?], proshlo. Na sleduyushi den zabolela i Tat. Lejali vmeste. Al. prihodil dnyom v koike. Bylo temno. 5-ogo u menia dohodilo do 40,3. Mama vsio vremia s nami. 2 raza byla Rita, raz Olga [?]. Shwibs zabolela 2- i Maria 7-. 27 ili 28 fevr. k nam priehala Lili Den i do cih por jivet v krasnoi komnate.

This basic idea of the paragraph is this (hopefully I got it all correct, but if I didn't someone please help me out!  )
 Olga didn't feel well, and she lay down, with Alexei & Anya too. The next day Tatiana didn't feel well either, and they laid together. It was hot out. Alix was with the sick ones all the time. Rita & Olga were there with them at 2 o'clock. Shwibs (Anastasia?) & Maria also fell ill. Lili Dehn came to visit them also.
I have a feeling that my summary is definitely missing some things, though.

From what I can read, all I see is "Rita", but it's probably a safe bet that it's Rita K.

Yes. it is of course Rita Hitrovo. Well, it is 1917, so all the children were ill. The 15 of marth after her illness, wich began the 29 of february, Olga related something of what happened at that time. Because the page do not show the entire entry, we do not know if Olga wrote about the Revolution or not. Lili Dehn lived indeed at that time in the Alexander Palace. She had not just visite them, she lived with them. I could not understand who is the other Olga, I just could not read the world after the name. She wrote about her ear, wich was not in order. Their mother was all the time with them. The room was in darkness. Anastasia (Shwibs) caught the illness (sorry, I do not remember the english word) the 2 of marth, and MAria the 7.

Dear friends, I read again and again from an other book, and have just modified my first post, with the russian text. So, you can now read quite all the entry. Tomorrow, I will try to make more legible the piece of first entry! It seems to be more difficult!

Olyga was Olyga Kleinmikhely, wife of the former Olga's "treasure" Pavel Voronov.
Maybe. ( I am not sure for 100 percent)

It seems to me this would be around the time that the children all came down with the measels in march 1917

Tatia forgive me if that is the way it seemed I knew something in regards to the diary notation passed it on and yes I put out my link. It is not a commercial site (not yet anyway) 99% of the site is devoted to providing free of charge a cross spectrum access to Russia through official links for students and tourists. I have read all these diaries from that era in my academic research and I Love Olga Nikolaevna Romanova  dont know why other than she is the same age to the day as my beloved grandmother who raised me. I am an artist not a capitalist :-/ I no nothing of marketing  if that is a crime take me out back of the Lubyanka and shoot me.
