Yes, it´s shame that there is no picture of her. But your picture really cannot be her...around 1800 (when she was 11) she could never wear this kind of dress...it was time of empire mode...

Is there any other Amalie or Amelie von Arenberg in 18th century?

A past sale. I bought the Thurn und Taxis catalogue from 1993. There are several paintings of the wittelsbach family.

Oh, Rani, thank you for sharing! I always thought Amalia must have been a very beautiful lady. And now I can say she was a very beautiful lady...

I have one more of her, but I must scan it. But I´m so lazy :)
And a picture of Pius. But I will post them!

The catalogue didn´t show every articles. For example a photo of Helene, Max Anton, Maximilian and Albert together in 1867. I bought now Martin Dallmeiers book "Dieser glänzend deutsche Hof...". I hope this photo is in this book.

Nope, that picture isn't in that book which I bought some years ago and was quite disappointed with. You'll only find a few (!) nice pictures - of whom some are rather wellknown for enthusiasts - of Fürst Albrecht's family and that's it.

What a pity! But thank you for the info. I have now 5 books about the Thurn and Taxis, and I must say that they are almost the same. But the Martha Schad book for the Weltbild Verlag is really good. I found a "new" photo of Louisa. And it is not so expensive like the other Martha Schad book with Martin Dallmeier as co-author.
I think I will break into St. Emmeram and steal some photos :)

I have this book now and - it´s awful! Fortunately it was not expensive. Just the Maximilian Maria photo was the only good photo. No photo of the princess Eisabeth or her sister Maria Anna.
Linnea you were absolute  right!
