That is why I said Sisi was disillusioned. By the time she was free to do her liberal work for her country, she lost interest and went for her hobbies.

Yes...and she suffered for deep depression

Indeed and she missed big part of the childhood of her children...and according to what i know she start affairs with other men....

There is no proof she had affairs with other men, yes her poetry showed that she indeed had several admirers but wether she really had an affair with one of those, I don't know.

Well to what i know she did... According to the book i saw it
Quote from the book "The Habsburgs" (i'm afraid you will find only russian version it's about the whole dynasty)
"She also tolerated, to a certain degree, Franz Joseph's affair with actress Katharina Schratt" Also i see that Franz had affair... And one last quote:
"Sissi finds seclusion in reading, writing, drawing and riding which is her favourite sport and love affairs with other men"
Fear knocked at the door. Faith answered. No one was there.

It made sense. Sisi was trying to find someone who loves her but made no demands on her (she felt she paid the price of freedom with Franz Josef). In this she was of course disapointed. I also do not believe her affairs were ever fully consumated.

Indeed, Franz had an affair with Frau Schratt but Sisi tolerated and allowed it, simply because she knew Franz loved her and she could not love in return. Sisi indeed had quite a few admirers and had a flirt for sure. One night she went to a masked ball as a 'yellow domino' and had a nice evening with a young man, she had contact with him years later but there it ended. They never met again. There is no proof she really had affairs, and given her problems with sexuality and such I don't think she really had an intimate affair.

Aaaaa that's why we missunderstood each other... i only mean affairs (flirt) not intimate affair.... I knew something about that young man... but i couldn't understand one thing.... Did he knew she is the empress?

He had suspicions, but never knew for sure. He came to know years later because of someone's memoires if I'm correct. But I should re-check my books for that.

Me too.

I myself am working on a series of video's on her. Using several movies(Sissi-trilogy with Romy Schneider, Ludwig II also with Romy, Elisabeth(musical), Sissi L'Imperatrice Rebelle - a more correct, but dramatised, depiction - and the 2 episodes from Fall of Eagles featuring her.
