This isn't quite a "new" book, but I stumbled across a newly published April 2009 hardcover edition of Robert K. Massie's The Romanovs:  The Final Chapter in Barnes & Noble for $9.98.  An April 2009 hardcover edition of Massie's Peter the Great:  His Life and World is also available on the Barnes and Noble website for $13.98.  There doesn't seem to be a similar hardcover reissue of Nicholas and Alexandra, though.

Hi everyone, I have just written a huge book some 700 pages plus on the Grand Duchesses  Olga, Tatiana, Marie and Anastasia. is anyone interested in this subject?
It took me 10 years to write and 30 to reseach. It is ENTIRELY FACTUAL not fiction in the slightest.
Please let me know if this is of interest to let my publisher know if will sell. Meanwhile I am back to my next book on the Cottingley Fairies.
Regards ECSBanks.  England.

yup...and with emphasis on the lives of Victoria & Irene from what i understood

I would have thought it would be about Ella and Alix, considering the fact that they seem to be more poular.

But also much more written about. This might give the book appeal to those who would think there's not much more to be said on the other 2. I know I can't wait for this book--it seems like we first heard about it forever ago!

Author Dan Willis' new book, "Romanovs in the 21st Century," has now been assigned an ISB Number:  ISBN 978-3-639-17480-9.  It is thought to be released perhaps around "September-October."  His publisher, VDM Verlag, "also operates in the UK and the US."  You can read his comments of 06/27/2009 and 07/05/2009 on "The Glittering Royal Events Message Board," sub-heading: "Russian Royal and Noble Message Board."    AP

Paris is more than a destination... it is a state of mind.

PRINCE SERGE KONSTANTIN, an idle aviator and exile living in Paris, sees the hypocrisy of the modern world of 1927. Cold and charming, this Russian is insulated by a bunch of brilliant lunatics and beautiful idiots who roam with him in the Left Bank's seedier bars. Set during a rugby reunion, CHAMPAGNE HAZE is a story surrounding four friends, a war, and a woman who changes their lives forever. Brace for impact! Four schoolmates from Oxford meet again as men to celebrate the end of an era and the marriage of their former rugby captain. As his stag party gains full steam and news of Lindbergh's historic flight filters in, hour by hour and bar to bar, the anticipation grows. Will the fresh-faced American be added to the list of the dead who failed the crossing, bringing the tally closer to the double digits, or will he accomplish what twelve days prior, two seasoned French war aces could not?

Time tells all.

Recently I've just browsed I-net in searching any info on this book...but no any news, just that site of the publisher. So pity, as the book will be (if ever be) an interesting one I believe.
