 here is teh site

http://marilynsroyalblog.blogspot.com/2005/11/royal-profile-victoria-marchioness-of.html

and this is in wikipedia:

"Victoria's son remembered her fondly: "My mother was very quick on the uptake, very talkative, very aggressive and argumentative. With her marvellous brain she sharpened people's wits".[37] Her granddaughter thought her "formidable, but never intimidating ... a supremely honest woman, full of commonsense and modesty."[38] Victoria wrote her own typically forthright epitaph at the end of her life in letters to and conversation with her son: "What will live in history is the good work done by the individual & that has nothing to do with rank or title ... I never thought I would be known only as your mother. You're so well known now and no one knows about me, and I don't want them to."

I have a question about Louis

When Victoria bore her children, was Louis present? He was mostly on lake and I believe it it not always got to come on time home.

in the book of Hugo Vickers ~ princess andrew of greece. There Louis stands in the birth was present, Louis wrote in the diary queen Victoria very helpfully and attentive.

And it left and the following for him hard his woman alone, for a moment. After the birth VHM was made easier and happy. Louis what proudly. So after to the book, I go out from the fact which was present Louis in the birth of Alice and held the hand of his wife.

Many mans in this time, would wait in a another room, till they hear the yells of the Child.

Even my grandfather in the 1950s wasn't allowed in the room as his wife gave birth.  I don't see anything unusual at all if Louis wasn't present.

I dont think.-. Louis was very busy with his work. But i think he would be glad at the times, where he was with her.
