The author of the book is, uh, confusing. It's just an album of photos from Imperial Russia, so I can give you the inside cover details. If you're thinking of buying it merely for the Romanov photos, don't bother; the Imperial Family is just one section of the book, and it's hard cover, so that'd be quite pricey.

Marvellous Ally, those were taken during the war, the second one in Evpatoria. ;=)
However, I am sure that they come from Anastasia's album, she used to colour the photos.

I didn't know she coloured them... it's wonderful because they were coloured soo long ago..

Anastasia and Maria did like to colorize the pictures and also decorated their albums with paintings.
