Russian and European Court Dresses

(1/29) > >>

Lanie:
Does anyone have any photographs of Olga and Tatiana from 1913, when the court gown photographs were taken? I've got a few and they're all of rather poor, small quality and I'd love to see something where one can see all the details on the gowns and the jewelry and whatnot.  :)

The dresses of 1913 today in the Hermitage

Edited by Alixz on 04/22/2009 - I used to think this was a picture of one dress in front of a mirror, but on closer inspection, I can see that it is two dresses.  Olga Nicholaevna and Tatiana Nicholaevna

What wonderful pictures.  The girls actually look quite at home in these dresses; their jewellery is modest by Romanov standards but the whole effect is supremely tasteful - how beautiful they look.
