By invitation of the Dutch Government His Excellency President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority will be on a working visit to The Netherlands from
june 29th till july 1st.President Abbas will be received in Audience by HM The Queen at Huis ten Bosch Palace,HM's private residence at The Hague on june 30th.

HM The Queen,Patron,was on a visit to the KNRM,the Royal Dutch Maritime Rescue Society,yesterday.

HM Queen Beatrix accompanied by TRH THe Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima will pay an Official Visit
to the Caribbean Islands of the Kingdom from friday october 28th till sunday november 6th.

It will be the first visit by HM since the Dutch Antilles as such were dissolved on october 10th last year.

The islands of Curacao and St.Maarten became autonomous within the new Statute of the Kingdom,
while the islands of Bonaire,Saba and Statia (St.Eustatius) became Dutch municipalities by referendum.
Aruba already enjoys its Status Aparte within the Kingdom for several years.

Also,it will be the first time the three visit all the islands together.
A visit to look forward too!

HM The Queen received HE President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority in Audience at Huis ten Bosch Palace at noon today.
President Abbas is here for a two day working visit by invitation of the Dutch Government.Queen Beatrix hosted a lunch.

Thr Royal summer holiday starts as HM travels to the residence of her three sons in Tuscany,Italy later today as that is where she traditionally starts her summer holiday.There will be a photo-shoot on monday july 4th with HM and the family of the Prince of Orange  and Princess Máxima.

Immediatly after the photo-shoot HRH the Prince of Orange will fly to Durban,S-A wher he will attend the Meeting of the International Olympic Committee

HM,President of the Council of State,interrupted her holiday on tuesday and wednesday as
a change of the Vice-Presidency of the Council will occur in a few months time as the present
Vice-Chair of the Council,Mr.Herman Tjeeenk Willink will retire from his post.The best candidate
is Mr.Donner,at present government minister but he also has experience as a member of the
Council before that.Of three candidates he's the best choice,and so HM had talks with the candidate
and her advisors on the issue.

Yesrterday HM continued her holiday as she arrived in Finland where she stays with old friend ,and former
President of Finland Marthi Atiisaari.Mr.Atiisaari also is a member of The Elders,more members and good friends
of The Elders and the Mr Atiisaari ao,it's CEO HRH Princess Mabel of Orange-Nassau,arrived on the government
aircraft with HM,as was Mrs Emma Bonino,a former member of the European Commission and friend.

HM The Queen was welcomed by Mr Atiisaari at the airport and later visited President Tarja Halonen
and her husband and the whole bunche went for a performance at the Savonlinna Opera Festival.

Queen Beatrix gifted some bikes for the Palucca School of Ballet at Dresden. HM and the Crownprince and CPrincess recently visted this school during their visit to Dresden.

HM Queen Beatrix underwent eye ( cataract-) surgery at the Bronovo hospital,The Hague,yesterday.

HM is doing fine and will most probably be able to attend the last day of the C.H.I.O. in
Rotterdam this sunday.

HM The Queen and granddaughter Princess Amalia attend the C.H.I.O.,Rotterdam this afternoon.HRH Princess Benedikte is also in attendance.

HM attended the 130th anniversary of the Oranjefeesten Society at Het Loo Palace,Apeldoorn.

Instituted 130 years ago to celebrate the birthday of then one year old Princess Wilhelmina,
and still very active in Queensday celebrations.
