HM received the Vietnamese Prime Minister,Mr.Nguyen Tan Dung in Audience at Huis ten Bosch Palace during his economic
mission  here in The Netherlands the past week.

On friday HM attended the jubilee of the Foundation named after her,the Princess Beatrix Foundation,
of which she is Patron since 1957.HM was dressed in black,a gesture as her dear friend dutch author
Hella Haasse passed away aged 93 and her death was announced on friday by her publisher.

Hella Haase interviewed HM twice,very open and candid interviews,that gave a clearer picture of the
woman HM actually is.The two Ladies became close friends as HM also is one of Haasses biggest fans.

HM has send a telegram of condolence to the children of Hella Haasse.

HM The Queen,accompanied by TRH The Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima,opened the renovated buildings of the Council of State,the Country's oldest State body dating from 1531.The buildings includes the former Palace Kneuterdijk,The Hague.

HM The Queen is Chair of the Council while TRH both are Members,allthough day to day "business" is headed by the Vice-Chair,
at present Mr.Herman Tjeenk-Willink.Who,unfortunately,will retire within the forseeable future.He has been a most outstanding
Vice-Chair,or "Vice-Roy" as it is nicknamed,for years.

On friday afternoon HM handed out the Annual Prizes for Free Painting at the Royal Palace,Amsterdam.
This always is one of the haydays on the Royal agenda to HM as she is an accomplished artist herself,
and takes a deep genuine interest in the works and the artists.Four artists were awarded with the Prize
this year,consisting of 6500 Euro.The Prize was Founded by King Willem III in 1871 as the Royal Subsidy
for Arts,to stimulate young talent.Since then all Monarchs,Emma,Wilhelmina,Juliana and now Beatrix,have
handed out this Prize personally every year,except during WWII

On friday evening HM The Queen,TRH The Prince of Orange,Princess Máxima,Princess Margriet (Patron) and
Prof.mr.Pieter van Vollenhoven attended the jubilee Gala of Introdans onoccasion of the 40th anniversary
of this hugely succesfull dance company,at the Schouwburg theatre,Arnhem.How good Introdans is shows,
ao,in the fact that HM has asked them several times to perform during outgoing State Vists on the return
events in,ao,Argentina and Mexico.

HM unveiled the painstakingly restored 16th century painting of the Last Judgement in the St.Laurenschurch,Alkmaar,yesterday.
It took 7 years to restore...but ppe only has one pick,sadly,sorry...It is beautifull!!

More from Curacao.In the evening there was a huge party at Brion Square,Willemstad where HM spontaniously speech and ended in the local language;papiamento:" Masha Danki mu dushi Korsou" ...Thank you very much my beloved Curacao.It had the crowds roaring.
HM has visited Curacao both officially and privately since the late 1950's,so she knows what she's greatfull for.
