http://nos.nl/koningshuis/live/

In Her word of thanks to all who organised todays festivities in the towns she and the RF visited HM did refer to her son Friso by saying;" It is a pity, and sad, that our family can't be complete today.I am very gratefull for the many heartfelth wishes and the warmth and sympathy we have seen and heard here today, and I will pass that on" ( to Princess Mabel in London-).

HM is in London almost every weekened or at least as often as her schedule allows to be at her sons bedside or at home with
Princess Mabel and the children. She can use RAF base Northolt for that, easyer. An embassy car fetches her there.Mr.Pim Osieck,
the dutch Ambassador to the Court of St.James,HM former Grandmaster of the Court and old-time friend, sees to all arrangements
needed for her as well as visits by other members of the RF seeing Prince Friso and Princess Mabel. They do all they can to be there
and support, and receive support too among themselves. It was clearly visible during monday's Queensday festivities how they all are
even more of a closeknitted bunch now.One admirable, inspirational & exemplary Family indeed.

Very touching, and also,it was really remarkeble to see the amount of not only presents but also the flowers HM received by wellwishers, incredible & heartwarming.

Lucien,  I have a great respect for Beatrice,  Can you tell us what role she is playing in the current government crisis. I believe it is not her first time for this.

Lucien,  I have a great respect for Beatrice,  Can you tell us what role she is playing in the current government crisis. I believe it is not her first time for this.

Slightly different then before Robert.HM is ofcourse still part of the Government and President of the Council of State,
and has the right to be informed and to be heard. But the proposed change of Art.138a will be linked to a more ceremonial
Monarchy. However, due to the accident of Prince Friso, the enforcement of that change in the Act has been postponed
out of sympathy with HM and the RF.Good!( As in thank goodness for that! Her role provides us dutch with a screen protecting us
from an overdose of democracy too by boys and girls in Parliament not yet up to what they sometimes wish for...But that's universal....)
But,a minor majority in Parliament was in favour of a change,we'll see yet what comes of that...

The PM offered his resignation but HM didn't accept it as such but instead "requested him to continue for the good of the Kingdom",
which he will till after the next elections, due for september 12th.

HM used to appoint a informateur first, now it could be the Second Chamber of Parliament that will take this role after the change.
HM used to appoint a formateur if chances were negotiations between parties were succesfull and a government could be formed.
And she appointed the Government at the Palace, something that won't change. It is only that government formation talks will be
under the responsibility of Parliament. An old wish by some parties in Parliament, but as Parliaments do,they often were too
chicken to change anything.Critisizing HM for her role and influence instead without any actual proof of the latter,HM always turned
down the critisism laughingly saying;" My role is due to the approval of Parliament,if they wish to change that, then it is up to them,
it is in their power, not mine".

Members of Parliament do not always and everywhere know exactly how things work.HM does,to the detail.
As for me I didn't need a change in this, don't mend what isn't broken. We will have to wait and see what comes
out of it all until after election day september 12th,and then we will see what really has changed.

It is known that a purely ceremonial Monarchy is not exactly a form favoured by HM nor her son and Heir,
nor by most of the Dutch. We are ofcourse a Constitutional Monarchy and we're a stabile one with high
approval rates of a high 87%,a fact not to be missed out on as a force, certainly not come elections.
