Spooky!! It's worse than those weird claims to see the face of Jesus on a piece of burned toast!! (And the piece of toast sold for about 150 on ebay!! Have you thought of selling this?  ;))

Certainly you must mean selling the picture and not the animal itself. For not only is it disgusting and low to sell live animals through eBay or anything of those sorts. But you can only imagine what one with the oddest passion would do to a animal who supposedly has a "Devil" on him.

I meant the picture.  :)
Are they allowed to sell live animals through ebay? I'd have thought it should be illegal; for it is certainly immoral if they do!

*phew*
Lol, sorry if I seemed a bit bitter in that above post. I am always worried about animal welfare. I have heard of a few cases via eBay that have caught some immoral people selling live animals. *tear*
Pip.. sorry about getting off-topic!

Laura, I share your concern. I love animals too & would never dream of hurting them (even tiny little insects, honest!):D !

;D That's awesome! I'm the same way! I can't even squish a spider. I just yelp until we both run away from eachother, lol.

I feel bad for going offtopic, so I scanned these and optimized them to be small files but big pictures. So no worries FA. They'll be good for Dial-uppers, I should know  ;)

These are great, some I hadn't seen, thanks Olga!

Does the kitty always look like that, or is it just an illusion for that one camera pose?

Olga,

Do you know where the first two pictures were taken?  and who are the other women in them?

1st pic, sitting below Aleksandra, next to Tatiana
2nd pic, the two furthest left.

Thanks! Awesome pics, hadnt seen them before

The woman on the first photo is the children's nurse Maria Vishnyakova. I think her head is also visable on the second photo, who the other woman is I don't know.

This is a quote from "The Rasputin file" by Edvard Radzinksy:
In 1908 when Alexei was not yet four, Rasputin's visits were usually in secret, arriving at Tsarskoe Selo as if to visit M. Vishnyakova. This allowed him to avoid having his name written down in the lobby register, where all visits to the tsars were recorded. Once in the palace, he would drop by to see the nurse M.V., a very nervous individual and at the time an ardent admirer of Rasputin. From the nurse's he would be escorted to the royal apartments.

I'm not sure things went as described above.

Yeah, I think the picture is taken while he was recovering in Tioumen after the stabbing in the summer of 1914.
