I see the Rose Pavillion has not fared so well. The Belvedere looks remakably like a Cameron gallery.
 Still, I want to vist these places.

A local St-Peter's newspaper says the Farm Palace is completely restored now. The exhibit items (furniture, paintings and so on) will be delivered soon in the restored rooms.

Lovely. I will make it a point to visit when I return in the springtime.

Can anyone confirm which view this is of? I am confused as I had only seen it from afar and I am not sure if this is the rear or the side facing the path to the Chapel.

May I ask what is the name of the building above this post? Is it the farm palace where the grand duchess Tatiana was born?

It is excactly Ferme, but Tatiana was born on Lower Dacha.

According to the book "Nicholas II The Imperial Family" by Znamenov, Mironenko and Barkovets p. 54, the Imperial Family spent the summer months of 1896 and 1897 at the Farm Palace. There's an entry in Nicholas II diary -- "We settled at the Farm for this summer, because a second house is being added by the sea." I'm getting the impression that Grand Duchess Tatiana was born in the Farm Palace like Grand Duchess Irina, and the Grand Duchesses Maria and Anastasia was born in the completed Lower Dacha. What do you think?

I think four of children - Tatiana, Marie, Anastasia and Alexei - were born on Lower Dacha. Well, the Lower Dacha, as I found, became an Imperial house in 1895, so Tatiana born there. But I have to check it.

This is a lovely house - I always find the smaller houses tucked away in the grounds of palaces to have more charm than the main place - although I appreciate the others. You couldn't live in a full on palace though, and most royals didn't either. I Don't blame them!
