Two Romanov dreams, two nights in a row!

The night before last, I dreamed I was (somehow) watching a Romanov documentary on our electronic keyboard with my dad. Then the whole top of the keyboard changed to a big photo of the GDs. They were standing in front of mountains or something, with Maria and Olga hugging each other on the left side of the "photo" and Tatiana and Anastasia hugging on the right. I remember being excited about finding a new photo and thinking about how I should post it! XD

Last night I dreamed about going to Russia with my sister and my Spanish teacher (we were speaking Spanish there for some reason). Then my family and I were driving to this big church. We parked behind an old stone building and painted on the wall was the 1906 photo of OTMA! Then me and my sister looked into someone's car window and they had a screen in the dash with a slideshow screensaver-type thing of Romanov family members. There was also photo of a baby painted onto the wall and I said to my sister, "That's Sophie."
But who's Sophie? I don't know why I said that.

There is a clock that never strikes...
There is a cathedral that goes down and a lake that goes up...
There is a little carriage abandoned in the copse...
There is a troupe of little actors in costume...
And when you are hungry or thirsty, there is someone who drives you away.

It's always funny when something we would think in everyday life crops up in a dream! It's almost like a bridge between the two states.

You're right. I also remember thinking "this isn't anything like I thought it would be, being in a different country," because it wasn't

Perhaps! Cheesy
Were there any Romanov/Hapsburg relatives named Sophie? I think I remember reading that name somewhere.

Sophie "Isa" Buxhoveden maybe? That's the only Sophie in relation to the Romanovs that i can think of. She was like a lady-in-waitng or something... or something like that anyhow.

There were about fifty Hapsburg Sophies, but if it was in Russia, it was probably Baroness Buxhoevenden.

I might have been thinking of Catherina the Great's first name as given in the Royal Diaries book (was it really Sophie?)
Aww, I like that idea, blessOTMA (and that's a great name for a kid, isn't it? I'll try to keep that in mind formuch later)! And good guesses everyone else. Suppose we'll never know.

I had kind of a strange one last night, that I was watching a show where some historian was arguing that when the IF saw they were going to be assassinated, some of them were actually glad because their lives had gotten so tense, oppressive, boring, etc. I don't remember anything else about it though.

Interesting dreams. Smiley

I haven`t had any dreams about Romanovs but the true is that I don`t often remember my dreams because I sleep very well. Wink

I have one  dream
It was about 1905/06 and my best friend Katie and I where walking down a very unfamiliar hallway. We heard a person saying "all right children you can go now", when those children ran out we both realised it was OTMAA .
Alexei ran straight into my legs and started laughing , then Olga said "lets have some carrots" they went.
Then it went to 1918. Katie was gone now but I was there with the IF and the the guards came in with Yurovsky and then I woke up.
Probably a reflex that I have anytime something bad is about to happen in  a dream.

"Let's have some carrots" Cheesy

Sounds like a funny dream!

wox24, you can easily remember your dreams if you only convince yourself that you will right before you go to sleep! It really works.
