Even though I have seen almost all of the films/documentaries on frozentears.org and rented every Romanov film that is searchable on Netflix, I still go back to the first one I ever saw which was Nicholas & Alexandra.  Although I can see several historical accuracy problems after now having a larger knowledge base, it still resonates with me.  I think the perfect film or docudrama would have to be a mini-series starting when N&A met.

I would like any suggestions so I can continue to feed this appetite I have for this subject.

It depends on many things/ especially the details, quantity of material, both video and pictures, which make me focused on it.

Romanovy -- Ventsenosnaya Semiya, 2000

Tsesarevich Aleksei -- Zhizni and smert naslednika, 2004

Rasputin - Dark Servant of Destiny, 1996

Poslednie Pyat' Let, 1994

Last of the Czars - Discovery Channel, 1998

Also I love some documentaries from Church's POV about IF, in Russian.

Also, I do like Nicholas and Alexandra release from 1971, but it has numerous mistakes.

For the movie itīs not surprisingly Romanovy - ventsenosnaya Semya, but I loved Rasputin - Dark Servant of destiny and also the Assasin of the Tsar.

The documentary would probably be "Nicholas and Alexandra".

My favorite movie is indeed Romanovy - Ventsenosnaya Semiya, and I also like Rasputin - Dark servant of destiny.
My favorite documentary is The Romanovs, the end of the Tsars, a documentary that I have seen on National Geographic channel.

Movie would definitely  have to be "Romanovy - Ventsenosnaya Sem'ya"  . The only  documentary I 've seen is "Nicholas & Alexandra " , which I think is quite good .

Is "Romanovy - Ventsenosnaya Sem'ya" the same as a film with English subtitles availabe on frozentears.org called Romanovy - the Imperial Family?

Then I agree.  It was the best movie.  This must have been the film the guide was talking about when we toured AP.  The "New Study" was filled furnishings that were supposedly props from a movie and when I saw this film it looked identical to when I was there last June.  It was the only movie I have seen about the Romanovs that was historically accurate and used actual sites where events occurred.  I think I appreciated it more with subtitles so I could here the native language, yet understand what was going on.  I even picked up a few Russian phrases.
