That's quite interesting Zecharia.
I don't know a lot about admiral Kolchak, would it be likely that one of the soldiers or Kolchak himself would have made note of where the reserve was lost, maybe some coordinates or something? that could be a foolish question and if so I'm sorry.
I always respected him for the efforts he made for his cause, but, Constantinople, i find your understanding of things to be very plausible.

We need to remember that before the Trans Siberian Railway was completed, there were no rails across Lake Baikal.  Everyone had to stop and either go across the lake on the ice in the winter or around the lake during warmer times.

It is possible that anything could be found there from the years of people using the ice for transport.  Many things could have fallen through the ice when it began to thaw in the spring and people still tried to use it.

Once the rail crossing of the lake was finished, it is also possible that other trains crashed and fell into the waters.

I wonder what they will find?
