Hi, (formerly under the user name of Haga) I am not alexpalace. As stated i will be in Russia this summer for 2 weeks. I decided to keep a small notebook of possible photograph requets from thos whom would like to see something specific at Alekander Palace or Tsarskoye Selo, around St. Petersburg. Note, this is a cruise so I will only have 2 days form 6:30am-7:00pm next day to take photographs. If anyone has a request, please, let me know or is anything I can maybe do for anyone. If your request is reasonable, I will surely do my best for those of you whom have an interest in this palace/and its last residence, current state. Hope nobody minds a new topic and has plenty of requests. I am asking in advance so I can get organized--and have plenty of time for people to ask what photo they would like to see. You might review to my earlier post under Haga in the Aleksander Resoration Thread for my layout of photograph and filming, as if anyone has suggestions or ideas pleaes, never hesitate to ask! Hope again nobody minds a new topic posted by a newbie. And if I have done anything that is not acceptable at this forum or towards others, I undersatnd.

Hope to get a good start on photograph/filming scenes, ideas, items. -Marie

Hi,
Lucky you on your trip to AP!  Thanks for the photo taking offer.  I really enjoy looking at pictures of the Imperial Family in or around AP and comparing that with pictures of the exact spots as they are today.  I'd love to see a good close up picture of the bridge where Nicholas and Tatianna sat while under guard.  The bridge is down from the semi circle balcony, there are two bridges.  I believe it is the left bridge, if you are standing on the balcony and looking toward the channel.  They were on the side closest to the palace, and to the right.  Does that make sense?   I'd also love to see the blockwork along the semi circle balcony.  In some of the old pictures, it looks like there are drain pipes , and if so, that would help to figure out exactly where members of the family were standing.  Thank you and have a great trip!!!   Tracy

Awesome idea!

I have been twice, but looking back there are some things I would have liked to photographed and didn't.

The view from the front of the palace towards the pond in front, that would be a super shot! And since you're going a year later, perhaps they will have finished much of the restoration, and you'll be able to get some great palace front shots. In all my photos there are green restoration screens in front, except for the parts of the palace currently painted completely white with the first layer!

Anywho, thanks for giving us this great option!

I just got back, and for those who would like, I have just posted a youtube video of AP:

Oh, didn't think anybody was going to reply to my topic, I thought of canceling it. But since you asked, I will write it down and it won't be forgotten. Yes, I did see your video that was very well done. Hope they work more on the interior it is rather pitiful looking.
