IMHO,this topic should be closed. I DO agree with Robert ad GDV that dwelling on this topic has no sense as soon as the answer has been provided

OK - I get it.

I, for one, believe in speculation.  I think it is what makes talking about history more exciting and leads to more research.  However, this topic has been posted to death.

I do believe that there is a thread about Alexandra and her "suitors" before and during the time that she kept refusing Nicholas.  However, suitors, means men who would have liked to marry her, not men she might have had relations with in the sense that we now it today. 

While extra-marital affairs were quite common in all centuries, pre-marital affairs were not.  Even up to and through the 1960s while men might sample the - uh - goods before marriage, proper "good girls" never did.

Check the other threads in this sub forum or use the forum search engine if you are looking for the "suitors" thread.

I am now going to close this thread as I have been asked to.
