Hi List,
I am running a thread on the Royal Navy forum 'Rum Ration' in the History section under the title
1919 Diary ID - to view, please click
hereIn short, it's a diary written by a Royal Navy Gunner, one Thomas Denn, born here in Ireland and served in Malta during 1919.
In several entries he makes references to Russian Refugees arriving in Malta during 1919 from the Black Sea. I am interested in all these references, but especially in the reference to a General Trepoff and party staying in the same hotel as Denn, the Imperial. I have quoted this specific extract from the Diary
here.
Can anyone tell me if they consider this General Trepoff to be one and the same as the ex-Premier of Russia. I have not been able to find much information on this man on the web and I would be most thankful if anyone on this forum can tell me this man's life story.
Best Regards,
Pat Curran
