Ilinskoye, estate of GD Sergei Alexandrovitch

Does anyone have any idea what happened to Illinskoye?  

I know that after Elizabeth took the veil and gave up her posessions, she left the Sergeievsky Palace (formerly the Belosselsky-Belozersky Palace) to Dimitri Pavlovitch, and that she also left Illinskoye to him as well.

After the Revolution, does anyone know what became of it?  It was a wooden palace -- was it destroyed by Stalin in the expansion of Moscow?  Any floor plans?  Pictures?

If you mean railway station, there has never been one. The nearest station is Pavshino (from Moscow's Rizhsky station), serving the town of Krasnogorsk of which Ilyinskoye is now part.

i came across this link, just a few minutes ago.   it seems to imply the palace is still standing..... the estate is now called "Ilichevo" & the palace is a boarding house of some sort.     but i can't seem to find any present-day photos.... :-/

All Russian sources indicate that the mansion was burnt in 1917. The whole area is heavily guarded and inaccessible for casual visitors - exactly like in the Soviet times.

Brian is right.. The web site says  "After Lenin's visit they changed its name to Ilyichowo, in the 40's  country houses for party  leaders were arranged there and nowadays Ilyichowo turned into a boarding house that  had preserved the athmosphere tsar gandeur and the whole beauty of  Russian nature"...  
They are talking about it like if it is still there...

that's what i thought too, but here is what the the english-language page states:

Ilyinsckoe village is situated in one of the most beautiful places along Moscow River. On the bank of the river you may find the magnificent garden, delight the fresh air of different  linden, birch and pine groves.
There are two churches in Illyinsckoe village: the prophet Ilya church and Vasiliy Kissaryisckiy church.
In the 16th century and at the beginning of the 17th century this village was a center of the large royal patrimony called «Luzhsckye zemly». The village was called so after the prophet Ilya church that was built at the very beginning of the 17th century. This royal patrimony was granted to Tsarina Evdokya brother     V.I. Streshnev. She was the wife of the first representative of Romanow dynasty Mikhail Fedorowitch. Streshnev family possessed the village for almost two centuries. First it was inherited by count Ivan Ostermann and after his death passed into the hands of his grandson Alexander Ostermann one of the participants of Ishmael storm.  He lost his hand and retired from the army in 1818, after that he began to improve his patrimony. He rebuilt the large manorial house, on the stone foundation with the balcony viewed on the Moscow River. Ostermann founded almost all little houses in different parts of the park and they had bared their old romantic names till nowadays.
Large green-houses along the river has been also preserved.
While Ostermann was absent countess Elisabeth decided to create a park and all the trees for it was brought from far away.   
After count’s death his relative Galizin inherited the manor. 20 years later the widow had sold the manor to the royal family for 108 thousands rubles. It was a present for the empress Maria Fedorowna. The emperor Nikolai had created the special commission to reconstruct the manor. Ilyinsckoe differed greatly from the luxuriant emperor residences near St. Petersburg. Thanks to the beauty and variety of sights, which melted harmoniously into the landscape, - the manor turned into one of the most interesting examples of park and garden art of the 19th century even in spite of the quite simple architectural ensemble. The whole territory was divided into three parts: regular park, landscape park and park situated on the bank of the river. Green parterre with round lawns and flowerbeds was laid down in front of the palace. The regular park in French manner with linden alley and cut bushes was laid down behind the parterre. Romantic Landscape Park was situated to the west of the palace. Future emperor Alexander III was fond of stone outhouse “Ne tschuy gore”(Don’t feel woe), which was standing among the pines. Maria Alexandrovna liked Ilyinsckoe very much. After she had viewed the manor she said: “Restore but do not change anything”.
Lots of members of the royal family, who were related to almost all European royal families often visited Ilyinsckoe.In June 1896 Moscow went through the immense celebrities – Nikolai II. After the great number of processions and state receptions Nikolai came to Ilyinsckoe “It’s a great pleasure to be in such a good and quiet place” he exclaimed.
After the revolution Ilyinsckoe as well as all other manors was nationalized. In 1918  V.I. Lenin had visited the village. After his visit there was founded       sanatorium called Ilyichowo.
In 1940s country houses for party leaders were arranged there.
Nowadays Ilyichevo turned into a boarding house that had preserved the atmosphere tsar grandeur and the whole beauty of Russian nature.

I dont know much about this place but what I know is that there have been built a lot of new  houses in that area. when I pass direction signs to Iliinskoe, there is always said about new and cool houses. and nothing about historical place. for example, there is different situation with Arkhangelskoe - the sings say that there is a manson etc...

Is the manson still being there?

I can not say for sure,but according to the website posted before it must still lays...

I hope that some tohers members would cast some light on this...

In 1896 after the coronation, Nicholas II, family and guests went to stay at Iliinskoe. He wrote in his diary of excursions to Usovo which was across or down the river from Iliinskoe. The manor house had 30 rooms. It would be interesting to know if Grand Duke Sergei lived here or was it used only for overflow of guests.

I read that Ilinskoye was next to Archangelskoye. I got in Google earth and found archangelskoye but I have not been able to find Ilinskoye.
 Can anyone help?

Actually, there is about as much information as there is on this thread. Google Earth may not be the best place to start - try the 1st page of this thread which shows the town its near, the nearest railway station, photos, etc.

I read that Ilinskoye was next to Archangelskoye. I got in Google earth and found archangelskoye but I have not been able to find Ilinskoye.

Now a territory of the former estate Ilinskoe is a private property, a cottage village Ilichevo.

Here's a rare image of a house in the estate. Possibly that's a mansion where the members of the Imperial family lived.
