What a beautiful building. One can definately see a trend in Catherine ll's taste in architecture if you compare this building to a number of the others she built. The Alexander Palace, Pavlovsk and the Tauride Palace are just a few examples, beside the fact that they are all designed in the Neo Classic style, and all the same yellow. I wonder if this was her favourite colour ?

Pavlovsk Palace. Exhibition of French Porcelain.

The exhibition of French porcelain and glass XVIII - XX centuries from the collection of the State Museum-Preserve "Pavlovsk" was opened at the Rossi Library (Pavlovsk Palace). Visitors will see porcelain from the collection of the Emperor Paul and his wife Maria Feodorovna (including the service donated by King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette), porcelain of Napoleonic wars times and a collection of French Art Nouveau glass.

Gatchina curators opened a new museum trip: guiding through the rooms that were not restored yet - in the central part of the Gatchina Palace (Chesme Gallery, Greece Gallery, Rotary Room) and in the Arsenal Wing (Marble Staircase, Chinese Gallery, Arsenal Hall).
