I'm quite surprised that they have survived all this time but also rather impressed. Something else to add to my places to see when I get there

Thanks! Even without full restoration, they look pretty good. Any idea if they will continue to fix them up?

Thanks, Xirbis.  I suspected it an anteroom to the New Study.  I've never seen a picture of it - without windows it must be pretty dark.  Has anybody ever seen a picture of it?

This is rather late but does anybody have photographs of the pictures above (Mountain Hall, Large Library, Small Library) as they originally were?

It's a little sad that not everything can be restored but I guess one has to pick and choose.

Does anyone know when the Lyon drawing room at the Catherine Palace will be restored? They finished the adjacent Arabesque hall years ago, and I keep hoping they will finally make some good progress on Catherine the Great's lavish private apartments. Has any work been done at all the past few years? Any information is much appreciated. Thanks!
