Any Romanov Christmas gifts?
« on: December 25, 2009, 02:02:54 PM »
Did anyone else get anything Romanov related for Christmas this year?

I was thrilled (and surprised) to receive "The Lost World of Nicholas and Alexandra - Tsar" by Peter Kurth and "Royal Russia - The Private Albums of the Russian Imperial Family" by Carol Townend with pictures from the James B. Lovell archive.

Bet you can guess how I'm going to be spending the rest of the day! :-)

Unfortunatelly there´s nothing "Romanov" that you can buy here in CZ..... Plus my parents have absolutely no experience with buying anything via internet.... so I have to find my own Christmas Romanov gifts :)

I have got, 'The Fall of the Romanovs', thanks to the one angel from here, though I think I didn't deserve it...Book is amazing, much new information to me, many photos in larger sizes and such. Thank you a lot, JA.  ;-0) You made my day in all this stormily period.

Those are such great books! I have both of them...some of the photos are labeled wrong in "Royal Russia" but they're great pictures all the same.
I got the movie "Romanovy: Ventsenosnaya semya" for Christmas...it's so good, I've already watched it. I guess that would be "Романовы. Венценосная семья"?

There is a cathedral that goes down and a lake that goes up...
There is a little carriage abandoned in the copse...
There is a troupe of little actors in costume...
