A Poll of AP members who are Russian Orthodox:
Nicolá De Valerón:
Maybe it's a little bit private question.
And I don't want to open religious discussions, because it's a personal subject.
But I wonder, for what reasons people are changing their Religions?
If it done as a Romanov's compassion, I don't know what to say.....;(
I think to be Religious or not to be is your own personal difficult decision.
I do not understand baptism at birth. Moreover Religion is so difficult thing,
that to change and to be baptized in other Religion, you have to read a plenty
of books about it (about it's big and difficult History), have an endless and
private conversations with different Priests, visit a lot of temples, etc...
I must repeat that I don't want to invade in a private life or something else.
I hope only that all the Romanov's fans are changing their Religion not only
because of their love to Nicholas II.
This is only my opinion. Sorry if something is wrong.
P.S. Orthodox Religion is a very difficult, and much more radical or orthodox than
Catholicism, and even much more orthodox than certain liberal (compared to both of them)
Protestantism.

I don't know why other changes, I can tell only why I wish to convert:
I'm living in Poland, a country where officially 90 % of it's citizens is Catholic. Priest got used to that situation & many of them care more for money & politic than for religion & salvation. the way they behave made me sick from going to Church. I had been atheist for many years(though I'm only 18-I used to be atheist since I was 10) & once came to Orthodox Church, as it was soon after I got interested in Romanovs & I wanted to know their religion. since then I began to read about Orthodoxy & realised that I agree with many of it's points, then I went to Church & I felt at home-I found God there & began to pray & in this I found consolation & happines. This is my reason then.
forgive please my mistakes but English is not my first language.

I have to agree with you. But not only Catholic priests are doing those things, that you've mentioned. The problem is that Orthodox are doing absolutely the same;((
I also can only praise your personal choose, because it seems to me that it is yours very well- thought decision. But I think your example is a good exception from the main number of the Romanov fans.

I'm aware of that, but the priest in the Church where are live are very kind.

I am not sure what denomination I am at the moment. I was christened Anglican but I converted
to Roman Catholicism. Now I am thinking of going back to the Anglican church so I am a bit confused.
I like them both, really.
