The new Queen of Hungary... it's only me or does it actually look like a montage?!?

Drawing based on her famous photo, the full verssion portrays her with FJ and little Rudolph (but I can't find it again)  Sad

A Dutch singer named Petra Berger wrote a song about Elisabeth. It's called "If I Had A Wish".

I wish I had a better version. That image comes from an hungarian documentary that acknowledges the image archive of the Gödöllo Palace for the photos used in it.
The photo was obviously taken at the same time than this one, by Joseph Albert in Munich in 1865:

I like to think that the women beside her are two of her sisters, but most likely they are her ladies in waiting.

The image archive in Gödöllo must have some rare photos...

Wow!! I haven't seen that photo before, it's amazing! Although at first I must say that I thought it was a montage (Sissi seemed strange)
I think that the ladies are really her ladies in waiting, although their faces are quite blurry. I'll try to search it in the next days, expect with a bit of luck  Undecided

Print from some hungarian newspaper:
The Empress on her deathbed and two nuns praying at her side, this verssion is a bit different to others that I've seen before

Sadly I haven't had much luck at finding a better verssion of the photo, I expect that someone can find a better one  Smiley
