I wonder who is the one who bought the furniture!
He/she is so lucky or maybe, it's a royal who bought those.

Hopefully the Romanov furniture is returning to Russia and be made available for the public to enjoy viewing it.

Those rooms are still intact. The furniture really should be donated back to the Palace and put back in situ where they belong.

I am bashing my brains out trying to remember where I read that the buyer is actually the Hermitage Museum. They bought the furniture back, because it belongs in Empress Alexandra's private rooms in the Winter Palace. It was ordered by Grand Duchess Elizabeth, when she was decorating the rooms for the new Imperial couple.

I am hoping I am right, as they have not shown much interest in anything belonging to the last Imperial family so far.

I wish one could find out for sure.
