Currently spending Easter with my father, just across the Mersey from Liverpool. Weather here a bit changeable, quite a breeze, intermittent sunshine, but more rain predicted for next week.

Happy Easter!

It's about 70 degrees with mostly sunny skies here in Southern California (Newport Beach) but with rain expected tomorrow.

I guess I spoke too soon.  About an hour ago there was a 6.9 earthquake centered in Baja Mexico.  It wasn't the usual jarring, violent shaking,  but rather a kind of gentle rolling that seemed to last about a minute and a half.  From the news reports,  this quake was felt as far away as Phoenix, AZ and Las Vegas, NV.   The news is reporting little or no damage,  but as time goes by,  I'm sure that might change.  CNN is reporting that several people are trapped in an elevator at Disneyland,  in Anaheim, CA,  as well as in a few buildings in L.A.

It's too early for "shake-n-bake" weather ...

I heard right now that there are two victims in Mexicali, one man died in the collapse of his house, while a second person, who fled from his house in panic was hit by a car.
Sad story. :- (
