From March 28 to March 31 it rained and rained and rained.  I can now sell beachfront rights in my basement.  Water water everywhere and the cats keep drinking it and vomiting.

The sun finally appeared on April 1 and stayed until yesterday.  It is grey and cloudy here again today although they are promising us sun by afternoon.

I am so sick of rain and so sick of mopping up my basement.

It's been off and on cloudy and sunny for the last few days, and it's minus 4 right now. The temperature is supposed to reach 10 today, which is normal for this time of year up here.

Just like an army

All you gotta do is...

Say what you wanna say
And be what you wanna be
Don't let yourself get all confused
'Cause all ya gotta be is you

It is more like summer than spring here in central Georgia USA. We will be in the low 90s today.

The lyrical spring weather here in Bergen, Western Norway, can be summed up in Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich's aka K.R.'s wonderful poem:

ВЕСНОЙ = VESNOJ = IN SPRING
Д. А. D. A. Murinovu = To? D.A. Murinov?

=
Veshnie vody begut... Zasinevshee
Nebo prigrelo polja.
Zimnee gore, davno nabolevshee,
Vyplakat' khochet zemlja.
=
Vernal waters are running... turning blue
The sky has lukewarmed the fields.
For the mountain, winter became pining long ago,
The ground wants to sob out.

=
Zori polnochnye, negoju tomnoju
Mleja, gonite vy proch'
Tysjachezvezdnuju, kholodno-temnuju,
Dolguju zimnjuju noch'.
=
Dawns of starry brilliance at midnight
Being thrilled, you drive away
The thousand-starred, cold-dark,
Long winter night.

=
Lastochki, zhazhdojj svidan'ja vlekomye,
Milye deti vesny,
Nam vy, vernuvshisja v gnezda znakomye,
Schast'ja naveete sny.
=
Swallows attracted by the thirst for meeting,
Lovely children of spring,
Having returned to familar nests,
You bring happyness to our dreams.

Ризой цветов убрана;
=
Jablonja, sneg otrjakhnuv, belosnezhnoju
Rizojj cvetov ubrana;
O, kak plenitel'na svezhest'ju nezhnoju,
Kak blagovonna ona!
=
The apple-tree, having shaken off the snow, snow-white
With a shining coat it is adorned;
Oh, how bewitching is the tender freshness,
how pleasant does it smell!

Стуже на смену и тьме;
=
Grejj ty nas, solnce; sijajj oslepitel'no
Stuzhe na smenu i t'me;
Dajj nasladit'sja vesnojj upoitel'nojj,
Dajj pozabyt' o zime.
=
Heat you us, sun; shine dazzlingly
On the icy frost on change and on the darkness;
Allow us to take pleasure in the spring delightful,
Allow us to forget about winter.

4 maja 1902, Mramornyjj dvorec = 4th of May 1902, the Marble Palace

Spring has arrived in Plymouth! It is fine and sunny and just warm enough for a T-shirt, at least for a few minutes.

24degrees today.
This morning I had trackie pants, socks, ug boots  Embarrassed, hubby's flannelette shirt.
It's cold at nights now, so also went in search of the heater.
I hate winter and it's on it's way. Cry

Right now, here in Alberta, the snow is falling and the temperature is minus 3 degrees. We're supposed to get 3-5 centimeters before tomorrow morning and possibly more snow tomorrow...

After a few days of some pretty heavy rain we are sunny again in the 70's and possibly 80's for the start of the week.  I hate to see the cool weather leaving.  Let's hope for a mild summer.  Central California can be a scorcher in the summer.
