"Own work

by Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess

Anastasia Nickolaevna."
"I think that if Shakespeare lived in our times he would not be able to write. Many of his works are not welcome on stage nowadays: The Merchant of Venice – anti-Semitism, Othello – racism, The Taming of the Shrew – sexism, Romeo and Juliet - hideous heterosexual show..." - Vladimir Bukovsky.

More and more exactly: Own handwork...

I guess it is something done by Anastasia Nikolaevna for one of the Empress's bazar: what is that? Could we see this work? Is is intriging!

How sweet. I t is a pity this is a dying art. My Mother would often spend hours with her needle work. I did a bit as a child bit was not very good as I simply did not have the patience. From the forum I see the Imperial Family were all very talented. I recall the cushions with the fish on them that I think the Empress did and they looked rather cook even today.

wish I owned the above

I was going to say the same thing. Most likely the item ended sold at one of her endless bazaars at Yalta.
