Yesterday I had a BBQ at my big sister and her fiance's place, but that was after I had eaten my weight in limp toast at my friend's house!

I'm not really sure, but it's looking like we're going to have burgers.

As it turned out we didn't have burgers, we just had a fend for your self night and I just had a couple of pieces of left over pizza.

You can try, worth a go!

We are having my parents ( the olds) my husband calls them (or for my mother he says the 'dragon - in - law), over for a Sunday roast. They are bringing dessert, so after we're all pretty full, I doubt if there'll be anything on the menu for dinner tonight, bar a cuppa and a biscuit.

A cuppa TT2 is what we Aussies call a cup of tea. Or sometimes we'll brew a cuppa.
Cuppa can refer to tea or coffee.

We just had leftovers. I managed to convince my brother to make us some french fries from scratch though...although I did have to promise him that I would take care of his half of the dishes. He also decided that because he was making the fries (after a couple of days of begging I might add) that he was going to call me wench...and he did repeatedly. But I got my french fries so it doesn't matter! ;D

May I ask where you are, Lindelle ? I have had blackfish but do not remember where. I do not cook fish at home and usually only have it  at a friend's house in England. I recall likeing it, but not him cooking it.
