I think tonight my boyfriend and I are having rissole sandwhiches with tomato and cheese. Yum.
Beautiful faithful Nargony.
Thanks Emily!

I had myself a piece of bread.

We had rissoles a few nights ago and I ALWAYS make extra for lunches next day.
There is nothing like rissole sandwiches!

Interesting thread as we can see what peole eat in everyday life all around the world! I am afraid our nasty caricatural representation of youngs American eating burgers and pasta was not so fare of the reality, isn' it (o, I don't want to be offensive, don't worry!) Thanks God,there is Lindelle yet!! Here my children had okroshka, a russian summer soup. Cut very little different vegetables (boiled potatoes, cuncumber, radis) eggs and meat, add a glass of kvas and the refreshing meal is ready! And for me, a french mediteranean veggetables meal called ratatouille with millet.

I'm not sure what were having tonight...I think I might have asked my mom once, but I can't remember if I did or not. If I did ask her than I just can't remember what she told me. I have such a terrible memory its not even funny.

matushka, I LOVE ratatouille!
Is there any food I don't love?

Tonight is a fend for yourself night - toasted/grilled sandwiches with fillings of ham, tomato, onion, cheese!

I'm about to make a cheesecake for dessert.

My aunt from Nova Scotia is visiting, so she made my sister and I her version of seafood chowder and we had haupia coconut pudding that my kūkū made for desert.

Haha, Lindelle! It was a fend for your self night here as well as it turns out. I didn't really eat anything....just didn't have the energy (naw, I lie, more like I was just to lazy) to get anything to eat.

Everybody's food sounds very good. Lindelle, I've been wanting to try ratatouille for a long time! And what is rissole?

Not sure what I'm having tonight, but last night was my dad's 39th birthday. So we had tortilla-crusted tilapia (YUM), steak, rosemary rolls, caprese pasta (mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, basil), and grilled tomatoes.

Also cake--my sister made it with black beans somehow, so it was low-carb for my dad, and it was actually one of the best cakes I've ever had--really moist and chocolatey, with this ganache-like stuff on top.

There is a clock that never strikes...
There is a cathedral that goes down and a lake that goes up...
There is a little carriage abandoned in the copse...
There is a troupe of little actors in costume...
And when you are hungry or thirsty, there is someone who drives you away.

Abbigail, a rissole is kind of like a large meatball.
Made from mince, it has onion, egg, tomato sauce, bbq sauce and hot sauce mixed in.Rolled and then baste with flour and fry. YUMMY.
Though Rosie's recipe for rissole's may differ.

What I said earlier was not what we ended up having for dinner, the hotdog part was the only thing that stayed the same. We ended up just having hotdog's and burger's.
