Indeed something has to be done because often people that are lower on the rank in the froum can be really good at history and then hear all the rude comment because you might have worte something and then happened to ask something that has been asking before. Sure it is good to read all the pages before asking something but you can explane they might have done wrong in a nice way without get them feel so bad for asking things that has been answer.

Exactly! Thank you Sweet Angel! Sometimes you never find the information you want, so the people that know should recap for you or PM the answer instead of blowing you off without some much as an apology. I'm sorry this happened to you as well! We're all on here for similar reasons, I don't know why we can't get along without correcting each other, biting each others heads off or by just being disgraceful and un-respectable. Again, My condolences.

Well said Gorseheart, I really do think what happened to you Lindelle was atrocious, and in my opinion beneath contempt. I think someone who thinks they can write and post nasty, grotesque, rotten pms, or postings should be dealt with immediately, and also the rude ignoramus's  as well, Thanks for replying everyone! Smiley

It's great and hopefully we few can make a difference! Smiley

God Bless!

Thank you for put this up for us to vent and maybe come to a conclusion (?) Cheesy

Sweet Angels, Spasiba dear!

Thank you much for your incite! Smiley

It's true, it would be a good idea to skim the threads in the forum, before posting a similar one without knowing, but People who have their fun demeaning others need to be put to an end, It all needs to stop, either someone takes action, or people will leave.

God Bless!

I liked and agreed with all of that. I apologize for posting too much, it's just I have a deeply in rooted issue with several unnamed people. What they said had even kept me off the board at one point. I wanted to come back, but all I can think about is what they said. Plus I have is if you're in a conversation, and said people will go through you're post history, quote you at fault, the say things like "Don't believe them! They are obvious not smart enough! Look at this quote----" Sorry, and thanks again.

Here here! You're right! Many people will use the Internet as an excuse to be rude!

Thankyou for your condolences on the topic at hand. I agree. People who do not speak english as their first language, are ridiculed heavily here for no apparent reason at all except to have a good laugh and jeer at their expense, by their abuser (s)

I hope the Forum Admins, and/or Forum Moderators do something, I do not wish to see this forum/website go down like the Titanic did...
now that would be horrid....

God Bless!

I always urge all users to be civil, polite and respectful.  However, as in the real world, there are limits to what I can, or will, do.  We have strict rules about respecting other users and not attacking people only ideas.  I know full well what all this is about, and frankly, am starting to become a bit bothered. What some consider rude, others do not. So long as people abide by my rules, I can not become the "Tsar" of speech by deciding who is rude and who is not.  Free speech comes at a great cost, as they say. One of those costs is that obnoxious people have the same right to speak and the most genteel do. Silence is the better part of Valor. It is usually best to ignore the rudeness of others and I am greatly disappointed by those who would rather create a huge mess out of this rather than ignore them.

This ship will not "sink".  There has been rudeness here from day one.  You more recent users have no idea how much WORSE it used to be, ask some long time users about the "bad old days".  We are still thriving after years now, with almost 8000 users and over 400,000 posts!

Please, be as civil to each other as you wish others to be to you. THAT is the best advice.

Forum Admins,

No offense. But I do not think this is a huge mess. I think its high time people stood up for them selves and fought back. If you were a member, and not the forum admins. wouldn't you want justice? I ask you that. So I really do not agree with you saying this is a mess, or will be. I just believe it's getting to the point where people want justice. Ignoring does nothing. They snare you in their traps willy nilly, and you fall into them one way or another.

I have heard it used to be really horrid back before I became a member, and I agree it is much better, but some non-specifically named people. I don't like the way they act, and I feel nothing is being done. Even if they do not go against your rules, You should still warn them. I believe you have to set warnings, that if someone is rude, you just do not ignore them, because THEY NEVER STOP, emphasis on those words.

I believe that it will never stop true, But I am not going to sit here and watch my friends, and acquaintances who agree with this matter, be pummeled verbally for not having English as their first language, and being verbally demeaned because their opinions are different.

and no offense, FA, but your last sentence.. about the pride in how many users and postings we have now (The forum) you didn't need to shout. But anyway, Thanks for your input... I also agree with "treat others the way you would like to be treated."

Simple Etiquette & Manners really... no need for any outbursts, demeaning behaviour, sexual harassments, etc...

God Bless!

Dear Forum Admins,

Not to sound cocky or offensive to you. If you are getting "a bit bothered," why don't you stop the abuse and harassment? It may be easier said then done, but I really think nothing is being done.

God Bless!

@ I-TsarevichAlexei13:
I don't know whether you count me to your "non-specifically named people", because of the little "argument" we had in the Leonid Sednev-thread. I do agree that something must be done against any sexual harrasment, because this is something that cannot be tolerated. In your case you should be brave enough to specifically name the people who have been rude to you, because this is the only way to clear the matter. The best way to solve the problem is to talk. You won't achieve anything when you behave like a stubborn child without the ability to take criticism. And by the way: You're complaining about people being rude to you but when I read your posts above me I can assure you that you are definetly not the politness in person.

I respect your comments Dust of History. But I am not being a "stubborn little child." I don't think anything is being done on this forum. I may not see what's behind the scenes, but of course, there will be naysayers.. so yeah. I am not trying to act in disrespect. I do not want to say the name's of the people, and you are not one of them it makes you feel better. Because I do not want them to feel offended if their name was mentioned...

I feel people do not like being challenged on this forum, understandably so...

God Bless! and no harm meant to anyone...
