I have known Robin for many years, long before he started at Hatchard's.  I have never had a problem with him and he has gone "extra" in finding things for me. Admittedly, he is not very discreet in showing his attitude towards SOME Americans, well actually SOME anybodys.  I think this  is because he deals with so many tourists, which, frankly, is why that store still exists, off Picadilly Sq. for goodness sake !
I still shop there every year as well. although I  have seen their royalty section dwindle.
Life may not be the party we expected, but while we are here, might as well dance..

Do you want the truth, or my side of the story ?- Hank Ketchum.

Same here ... I have had Robin come back from lunch early when he knew I was coming to the store.
