This is from memory, not a written source, but I believe the entire Family was Type A.

As there were only 2 types known at the time of the Romanovs,A being the most common, it is a pretty safe bet that they were A.  All the other types were discovered long after they were dead.

I do not know, yet, I need to ask my doctor friend. I imaginative it was B though. Not very imaginative, is it ?

op into several   types as I understand it. I am no expert, just going by what my doctor friend tells me.

So if we know that the entire family is Type A, do we know the rhesus factor as well? (Positive or Negative?)

I don't know much about the "history" of blood types but...

As there were only 2 types known at the time of the Romanovs,A being the most common, it is a pretty safe bet that they were A.  All the other types were discovered long after they were dead.

Saying that only 2 were "known" do you mean that if they were 0 we can't know because they did not know this type or that they couldn't be 0?
I don't know much but maybe tyoe 0 existed but wasn't known - this doesn't mean they couldn't be 0.
And type AB is the union of bloodA and B so if A and B exist, also AB exist (mother A, father B, child AB)
But i'll ask my brtoher in law who is a doctor, just to clean up my confusional ideas a little!
