Annoying thing VIRUS ALERT.

Yep, me too! Have you reported it to the FA?

It's really weird, because it's aimed at Windows users and I am running Linux-based Ubuntu. I'm ignoring it, but I'm doing a backup of my files anyway now, as I'm going to install the new Ubuntu version when it's released tomorrow.

Try to send messages and even post had become a nightmare so i will wait a bit till to send a message. It took me at least 5 tries to make this topic! =(

YOU had a spyware virus.  In fact, it was embedded in the screen capture you posted, which is why I removed it. It is a trick to get you to download their "anti virus" program which is, of course the virus itself.  I use a fully protected Mac and got the same "message" which is how I know it was a trick.

It has nothing to do with our Forum.  You have to log out of the Forum and shut down your browser, then restart and log back in to remove the problem.

But im not the only one who had that problem, We all have trojans? and this is the only page it happens.

I havent download anything since i know those so called anti spyware programs are full of garbage

We are working on the problem right now, trying to find where it actually started...

I got a pop-up message about a virus shortly after logging on this morning -- hadn't clicked on any thumbnails or links. I immediately shut my browser and restarted my Mac. No trouble since.

That is also what happened to me. Our IT guru is working on it as I type.

Well that's not odd...  Not in the least bit.

I also DID have a virus. And my computer had to be serviced.  I definitely made a mistake having started an antivirus progam which was a virus itself. I saw a message that my computr has been infected so I was tempted to do away with the virus. It was a huge istake. An IT specialist told me not to try to install any similar programs

The issue has been totally resolved now. No worries.
