This is what I have feared since the first news came through. Any recovery is going to be extremely limited and will take a long time.

What it must be like for his family I dread to think.

I just saw the announcement on google news and watched the accompanying link which gave the news conference in English. So very sad. It's like he's caught between two worlds right now. How awful for him and for his family and those that love him. My best wishes to them and to our Dutch Forum members such as Lucien for whom this is so horrifyingly sad.

If any of you wish to share their thoughts with the Dutch Royal Family, you can leave your messages here:

There was a Holy Mass yesterday in Lech with special prayers for Prince Friso, his wife Princess Mabel and her mother and her two sisters as well as TRH The Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima & the Moosbrugger family were in attendance,as was the entire village, all locals attended as they feel so close to a Royal family who stays with them for over 50 years.A candle was burning near the entrance of the church with Friso's photo next to it.

HRH Princess Mabel resigned as CEO of The Elders due to her personal situation. The travelling
would become too much of a strain to her and her family.

The Princess can spend more time with her daughters and at her husbands bedside
at the Welington hospital,London where Prince Friso is in a coma.No changes occurred,
nor are they expected to occur at any time,at all.

The Princess does remain a senior advisier to the group of Statesmen founded by Nelson Mandela,
Richard Branson and Peter Gabriël.

The Princess has been a CEO of The Elders since 2008.

HRH Prince Friso celebrates his 44th birthday today, the first since the avalange caught him and the coma he is in since frbruary 17th 2012.
The Prince is still at the Welington hospital,London. He and his family live in London. My thoughts are with him,Princess Mabel and the children
and especially HM.

During a meeting with the press at his Residence today, his elder brother and Crown Prince Alexander said it is a sad day for the RF
as they were supposed to celebrate Friso's birthday yet he's in a coma still following being caught in an avalange on february 17th.

So he hasn't woken up yet... are there any hopes? Here none writes about him no more, so for me it's difficult to know how he's now...
Thanks for informing, Lucien! My thoughts are with them too.
