Christina Croft has written a new novel, the first volume of a trilogy: "Shattered Crowns: The Scapegoats".
The Kindle edition is already available from Amazon, and a paperback edition will become available in a couple of weeks.

I just went to Christina's site and I am now going to be waiting impatiently for the print version.  This book sounds wonderful!  Something new and different in the study of the Great War and those who participated either willingly or unwillingly in the fall of the old order.

Hmmm, again Van Hoogstraten, has got it right! I think that Van Hoogstraten has the better knowledge about the publishing dates, then GRB.

It seems the book has been postponed for a little bit. It will probably be released in the autumn.

Odd, Van Hoogstraten's site is showing October. Gilbert's is showing this month.

I think so too, Teddy. GRB has pushed the publishing date to July.  Either way, I can't wait for this book. I've wanted to get my hands on Marie Edinburgh's letters for ages now. I guess until then, October it will have to be. :-)

Its already July 13th, so I don't think that it will be July. I give my penny to Van Hoogstraten.

I doubt it too, and half expect the date to change to August on GRB's site! :-P

Also new in 2011, after a dozen years of research and a healthy bibliography, is my book "Rasputin and The Jews: A Reversal of History", well received by a number of editorial and reader reviewers.  As summarized on Amazon:
"This book is a well-documented account of Rasputin as a healer, equal rights activist and man of God, and why he was so vilified by the aristocracy that their vicious rumors became accepted as history. For nearly a century, Grigory Rasputin, spiritual advisor to Russia's last Tsar and Tsarina, has been unjustly maligned simply because history is written by the politically powerful and not by the common man. A wealth of evidence shows that Rasputin was discredited by a fanatically anti-Semitic Russian society, for advocating equal rights for the severely oppressed Jewish population, as well as for promoting peace in a pro-war era. Testimony by his friends and enemies, from all social strata, provides a picture of a spiritual man who hated bigotry, inequity and violence."

Today, I went with fellow Royal lovers/friends to Van Hoogstraten in the Hague. Not without a reason. Rosvall has send 1200 books to Van Hoogstraten. You can now buy, many books, who are publishd years ago, are out of print and sometimes hard to get.

For example there are books from Gabriele Praschl-Bilcher:  Das Familienalbum von Kaiser Karl und Kaiserin Zita.
Books about the Baden, Wurtemberg and Sachen Royal family. Dozens of books about the French Royal family. The book: Nicola and Milena, King and Queen of the Black Mountains, a book about the brother of Prince Albert, the book Bernadotte und die Romanovs. Books about the Hohenzollerns. Really dozens and dozens of books.

Are you still in search for a book, please e-mail them. Maybe there is book for you, who you have already searched for years.

So email: info@hoogstraten.nl and maybe Van Hoogstraten has that book, for you, what makes your collection complete Smiley
