But there is the central matter of our questions about good or evil.  Did Rasputin desire to control every woman he met or was he just taking advantage of what was offered?

He had no need to control every woman yet sometimes even their husbands would boast that their wives were "friends" of Rasputin.

I don't see any good in Rasputin being in control of everyone and anyone, but was he evil to take what was offered?  Some would say yes that as a man of religion he was evil for doing that, but in Rasputin's eyes sinning was the way to salvation.  A convenient cover for his endless needs.
