Well, folks, I've ended the current season of Days, since my co-writer, RHB, seems to have disappeared (she hasn't been here since Sept 28).

Hopefully, we'll be able to start Season 13 in a few weeks, if RHB returns from wherever she's vanished to.

Since I haven't gotten answers to the really crucial questions I asked, I guess it would be better to post them elsewhere... Can someone tell me what forums would be better suited for these questions? I'd like to have them answered soon.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Tim I really appreciate it! I only have a few weeks till NaNoWriMo begins and I'd like to have a basic idea of my plot before I go through with it!

What kind of meeting would be realistic for a flashback involving "Liza" and the IF? Formal or casual? Would they have had tea or a meal? What would they have had to eat or drink? What room would it have been in? How long would Liza have stayed? What kind of decorations would there have been, paintings, flowers, etc? What kind of plates/silverware would there have been? How would everyone have been dressed? Would Liza have had time alone with the children? What kinds of things would they have done?

(further clarifying: "Liza" plays hide and seek with OTMAA then goes in for tea with them and N&A, then performs for them all outside. Because I have another character go to the past with Kaitlyn, he takes on the identity of an officer from the Standart, and he ends up playing chess with Aleksei in his playroom while Tatiana shares some beauty and hairstyle tips with "Liza;" but if this isn't a realistic scenario, I want to have some ideas to go on)

How and when was the telegram ordering the execution of the Imperial Family delivered? (the order was given by telegram wasn't it? If not, then how?)

(clarifying: my whole purpose for Liza's murder is she finds out her husband is to deliver the telegram ordering the murder of the IF)

What was the weather and environment like outside Moscow when the telegram was delivered? How realistic is it for Liza to have left the city (her purpose was to go to her brother who was in Ekaterinburg to warn him of the impending execution)?

(clarifying: I have the murder scene just outside of Moscow)

When did Aleksei leave for Stavka for the first time? When did Nicholas go? (in other words I want to make sure that both are present when I write the flashback which introduces the Imperial Family into the story, this flashback can be set in 1915 or 1916, whichever is more realistic/historically accurate)

Oh, where would Liza have skated at if she was invited to perform at the palace? Is it possible to assume that the weather would have frozen the water the day before Nicholas/Aleksei were to leave for Stavka? If not, could someone suggest other possible dates for this flashback to take place?

Simply because I mention it, were any of the Imperial Family familiar with the Puccini opera Tosca, and were the Russian people aware of it?

What kind of income did a young officer on the Standart have? How did one get to be on there? What kind of social class were they? What kind of dwelling would his family have lived in?

Oh, what kind of diminutives would have been in existence at the time for Elizaveta? I assumed Liza, but then Talya said:

AFAIK, Liza wouldn't have existed in the early 1900s in Russia.

If no one knows that's quite all right; I can just change her name Smiley

I think that's all I need!

Well if Liza is a trusted friend, then it would be casual.  Of course, OTMAA did not have that many friends their own ages, so you might have to work that in somehow.

Yes, my thought is that she performs some for the IF after they request it, hearing about her from her brother who was an officer on the Standart before joining the White Army and becoming The Officer. Then, when war broke out, she became a nurse just like AOT, and that's how they became closer and got to know each other better.

Sounds good to me.  Meanwhile, I'm hoping my co-writer gets over this exile from the Internet soon.  She hasn't been here in a week.

Seriously, RHB, what is going on!?!?

I know what you mean! My phone went out and with it my DSL, that's why I was gone for so long! It was a nightmare Sad

At any rate I wonder if I should look around the forum and see if I can find some of the other answers to those questions...

I'll probably do some MASSIVE edits in December to clean everything up, so I COULD just go with the flow until then, write the story, then post it here, ask the accuracy experts to point out the goofs, and use their critique as a guide for editing...

I was looking around the threads in the Final Chapter Forum, and the general consensus is that there was no order from Moscow...

This means that there would have been no reason for Liza (or whatever I decide her name to be) to be murdered by her husband... no telegram means she wouldn't have found out about the impending murders of the IF, her husband wouldn't have found out & thus he wouldn't have killed her...

But here's an idea!

Removing the entire "telegram" idea, what if her husband, still an influential part of the Revolution, discovered that her brother was The Officer, and she found out that he knew, and planned to warn him? Now, THAT sounds like an even better motive to me!

GOD I'M GOOD!

Some of you may be wondering what is going on with Days.  Well, since it seems I don't have a co-writer anymore, that means updates will not come as fast as they used to (I have other projects in the works as well).  However, they WILL come, I promise you that.

However, the character of Sam, a creation of RHB's, will not appear.  We have an agreement that only RHB is allowed to write for Sam (that same agreement says only I am allowed to write for Kole, my creation).  I have already written Sam out, and she will remain written out until such time as RHB decides to rejoin the Internet Community.

Stay tuned...
