Romanov Paper Doll Book
« on: July 21, 2011, 01:11:51 AM »
just wanted to share a very interesting book i purchased recently. here i've included pictures of every doll, but only some of the clothes, as there are quite a few pages. i thought it was interesting to see the different colourings of uniforms and court gowns we've seen so often in photos, not to mention different views on the romanov family and friends. the book included nicholas, alexandra, alexei, olga, tatiana, maria, anastasia, nagorny and rasputin. nagorny and rasputin were the only ones without extra clothes.

That's neat, APFELBLUME! Is it more of a collecter's set, or could children actually play with them if they wanted to?

I have that same book, it's by Tom Tierney. It could be both, Olga Bernice.  :)

Love them, Apfelblume! I'd like to order a couple of sets for myself, although I must say it's a bit disconcerting seeing Nicky and Alix "dressed down."  ;) I like how they aged them in the second set, too.

I did order two sets - one to keep intact and one to play with ... I always did like paper dolls when I was a kid.

I remember a nacked Tsar swimming..lol

paper dolls are a very old playtool - I remember to have some in my childhood and it was easy to cut more clothes. the Romanov is not the only one - I bought some years ago a Princess Magret, a Queen etc. What I fun would this to have it as child
